I doubt they’d hype any bad news.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Hopefully "see you on the beach" is a good sign, and that the current lineup is intact, with maybe an addition or 2?

Yeah that linked tweet from Eds account looks like it a go.
Great for those excited to see them play at that sweet location.  I'm sure they would not play (and still won't even if they make announcement that it is a go now)  if they felt it was unsafe.
Do they require vaxx is the only question, I feel, in May as they make an announcement.
Could be more questions at the end of the summer but I know lots of people were pumped to hear this so this is great news for them.

  • Ok please don’t pm or ask for anything more as this is the info I have as of right now. Obviously with the virus, variants and also the vaccine, things can change at any time.

In regards to Ohana, May is the timeframe to keep an eye on because that’s when the governor will most likely be giving approval.

Hopefully this doesn’t get posted elsewhere but let’s be honest, it will be.
    May it is. Lol

I hope the undercard line-up stays intact......excited to see MMJ, Sharon Van Etten, The Frames, Pretenders (as long as they do stuff from first few albums) and Broken Social Scene.

Best airport to fly into and out of the Point?  LAX or San Diego, both show about equi-distant but for some reason it seems to think the at LA will be quicker ride by nearly a half hour than SD.

    Thoughts anyone?

We are flying to LGB (Coming in from Salt Lake City). Its about a 30 minute Uber from LGB to Dana Point. Not sure if this is helpful for you or not!
We are coming from SLC as well!!  Live in Riverton.  However, as another option, we are flying direct into Orange County (John Wayne Airport, SNA) on Thursday.  It is also about a 30 min drive to Dana Point (although we are staying in San Clemente).
We live in Sandy!! That’s awesome!! San Clemente is one of my favorite areas!! We almost stayed in SC, but got way lucky and scored a hotel room across from the venue. All within walking distance!

I’m coming from Canada. I’m three weeks since first shot, I’ll have second way before then. Even if border isn’t open completely I do what it takes to be there. Beyond excited. I do understand things could change between then and now and it could be cancelled at anytime.  However like my posts previous in this thread, optimism prevails! I may also have a hotel reservation someone could grab from me (I booked two and probably only need one). Will wait for official  announcement tomorrow, but if you need one send me a PM in a couple days

Assuming your indicating maybe only Ed is playing & not PJ? Don’t see how they could hold this fest without all of PJ there for their announced night. Why bother otherwise

Because they hold it every other year without Pearl Jam?
Single act replacement does happen with festivals - hoping for those going and pumped up that PJ does play but they could certainly still have the festival w/o.  (No idea if they will, just saying.....)

All previously purchased tickets for the 2020 fest are honored for this year's, right?  In other words, no additional round of ticket sales would be expected?

Thats I see happening. They had ticket sales open for the new date for almost a year now and no refunds should be given if in fact they have the shows as planned with no restrictions.

That said if they go the mask/vaccination route then they should allow refunds to those that do not want to attend paving way for ticket drops.

so glad for all of you that are going. I was SO desperate to make this happen, but it won't this year. I was selfishly hoping it would happen in 2022. But happy for all of you! when else can you get Ed and PJ in one weekend ON A GODDAMN BEACH?
    Darwinspeed, all.

    Cheers,

I see on the Ohana site that the dates are locked in and weekend passes are sold out.  By the sounds of it, those dates and lineups may not be the real thing.  In that case, they'd just honor the previously purchased weekend passes for the new dates and lineups (assuming either or both change)?  Sorry if the question is repetitive.  I have not been following along on this.

They announced the 2021 dates and lineup when they cancelled 2020.  Tickets from 2020 are valid.  Ticket sales continued uninterrupted for 2021.  There was a window to refund 2020 tickets last summer for those who wanted to.
