What does your store retail them at?  $120ish I'm guessing?

    Yup $120 retail

However we no longer retail these unicorns.
They no go behind the bar to be sold in peg/dram/pour form.
More people get to try them out this way.
    Usually gone in one day.

Makes sense. Good way to get it into more hands and avoid the chaos of getting them to certain customers.

We never held them for "certain" or special customers.
The unicorns all went to 2 ticketed events where we had raffles for the opportunity to buy a bottle.
We had more then enough bottles for everyone at these events. From Blantons up to 23yr Pappies.
    Nobody left empty handed.

    No more
People were just getting stupid about it.

ISO the 2 in the middle.  The LaRue more so.  Hook a brother up.  Open it and take a sip before you send it.

Good on your store for that.  Cool way to do it.  My go to spot holds them back for the "preferred" list, which admittedly has a lot to do with who the GM and liquor guy see the most.  They look at loyalty, dollars spent, etc.  I have loyalty going for me, as I've consistently shopped there for a long time.  Plus I'm always friendly with the guys and have brought in pours of good stuff for them to sample.  Not because I want/need something in return, but more because I know they deal with herds of unappreciative ass holes every bourbon season.  They've gotten me some good stuff from time to time as a result, but the whole process for bourbon these days is a big pain in the ass.

As a Speyside Scotch, it's probably minimal peat.

Very true but I would need to taste it in order to verify that.
