For every Mondays show they should have released a concert footage from each album. That would be pretty cool to see something from Kill em All or Master or Ride era.
Would be nice to see some 80's video.  Guessing not a ton of higher quality videos available from then.  With that said, the videos they've been showing have been awesome performances
    Here ya go, tonight!
Watch Metallica Live in Chicago Tonight at 8 PM EDT 5 PM PDT on YouTube Facebook

that was pretty cool. Only thing that kinda sucks was that it was like 45-50 minutes, but that is expected when it's one of their early shows

There was a lot of hate for Load, but I went to some shows on that tour and had a blast.

I didn't start hating them until Napster and St. Anger :)

ReLoad was the one that I didn't like at all. St. Anger at the time I thought was ok (went to a few shows during that era). I'll have to relisten to both of those albums.

Cool version of Blackend. Corona edition

Very, very cool.  Would love to see more of these. From Metallica or *cough* any other band.
This is something I'd very much expect from Metallica. As for...ahem...the "other band" you may be referring to, well, I don't expect much from them as far as doing things for the fans....anymore.
2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. I completely disagree. But first off, before we get into "integrity," I'm just talking about doing things for the fans that made them. Stuff like this video of Blackened, meet and greets, and a fanclub that actually delivers what the customer is paying for. Even better than all that was when I got tickets to Metallica in 2018, I received physical tickets and a free copy of the Hardwired CD (already had it, but still) in the m ail. And after the show, I got a FREE mp3 download of the show. You don't get free shit from Pearl Jam. Maybe Metallica is trying to make up to their fans for the Napster fiasco by doing that. Now that's integrity.

As for PJ's "integrity," go read Eddie's 1995 Spin Magazine interview where he shits on the Spin Doctors for having their tour sponsored by a jeans company (Vans I think?), yet the 2008 PJ tour had a gigantic Verizon screen over the stage that we can all text our messages to.
and the 2009 album was exclusive to Target. In that same 1995 interview, he laments classic rock bands charging $50 a ticket. He couldn't fathom playing for a crowd that could only afford such expensive tickets. Well with inflation, $50 then is $84 now, yet tickets to the Gigaton tour cost like $120.

So Metallica were dicks in 2000 with the Napster stuff, but have at least tried to make up for it. Eddie sat on his high horse in '95 looking down his nose at people trying to make money (people that didn't have Ten/Vs/Vitalogy flying off the shelves) and when his album sales began drying up, here come the sponsorships. Some integrity.

Up until the baseball tour in 18, the PJ tickets were the best deal in the industry, and it wasn't close.  I'll never forgive Metallica for Napster and, in my opinion, generally being assholes.  I mean Lars and James specifically.  On some of the corporate stuff, I think reality just smacked PJ in the face, but you don't have to maximize revenue. There's an old saying that a conservative is just a liberal that's been mugged by reality.

And I think you're forgetting about the Metallica manager that bought back all the good seats on the last tour and resold them on secondary markets because they decided the prices were too low.  https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2019/07/19/live-nation-scalper-metallica-recorded/  Not exactly redemption.

Well I didn't know about the scalping thing which is lame as hell, but I didn't have a problem with Napster. I was bummed as a Napster user at the time, but they WERE right, after all. Sure they looked like greedy assholes, but I bet every musical artist that's come after them wishes that they succeeded in ending music piracy.

I'm not sure that's true.  They make jack shit off the legit apple music, amazon and spotify sources.  The only money is in touring, corporate sponsorship, etc.  They could have supported a model that didn't get Amazon and other corps rich, and actually made music free.  Think about it... They didn't give you the cd for the ticket to be nice to you.  It's because it's not worth anything to them.  DMB and Jack White did the same thing when their last albums came out.  I have 10 copies of the DMB cd and 8 copies of the JW one floating around my house.

Yeah now they make jackshit off of those streaming services, but those services were about a decade away when Metallica did the Napster thing. So while that was probably going to come anyway, until it did, people were getting their music for free off of torrents when they should have been buying it. Myself being one of the worst perpetrators of stealing music via torrents.

As for them giving me a CD cause it's worthless, you're right that it's worthless. I was talking about the gesture of it (free mp3 of the show too). Something free, which you'll never get from PJ. As for the worth of a CD, Tom Morello said in the latter days of Audioslave that he loved that illegal downloading killed the record companies. I'm paraphrasing (the numbers aren't exact), but he said it cost like 2 dollars to manufacture a CD, then the record company sells it for like $15, and the band only gets like $3. Again, these numbers aren't exact but it's something like that. So he liked them getting screwed. But he lamented how many artists got screwed in those days from not selling records. You can make more money off a #1 single in 1994 than you can a string of #1 albums in the 2000's.

An mp3 of the show you attended is a nice gesture.  Is it really free?

Yeah. I was surprised and thought it was cool as hell. If I remember correctly, the person that took your ticket gave you a download code.

Like James said in his Joe Rogan interview I think — artists were all patting their back about them going against napster. But let Metallica (mainly Lars) die alone on the battlefield.

Doubt PJ were happy seeing their sales plummet and people stealing the music.

Why is everyone so mad at an artist/group being mad their music was being stolen?  So they didn't want to give away stuff they(with their label) spent millions producing/distributing makes them bad?  This wasn't like dubbing a cassette,  not even close, millions of  records not being sold, but being obtained illegally, oh sorry "shared".  Every artist should have been pissed.  Pearl Jam never gave albums away for free, they just didnt care people ripped them off and stole it.  Then everyone was like it isnt Napstets fault...they just made a platform, but gun companies just make guns they dont kill people is the same argument.

It is against the law, they didn't like their product being stolen.  The mob loved free shit, so it was the bands as bad guys....typical bassakwards thinking.
