    The odd thing about this arrest is that from one angle you see one one officer on the victim's. However, it was was actually 3 officers that were holding him down. One on his neck, one holding down his mid section and the other holding down his legs. So this man was going absolutely nowhere. Why was it so difficult to check his pulse once he was not moving for minutes on end.

    I would like to know what led to them having to hold him down handcuff behind his back  by three officers. Btw, did I hear that one officer blocking the view say to those filming "don't do drugs". As if what they were doing was somehow justified.

    I wish they filmed from the beginning of this.  The man who died was resisting, so the cops had to subdue him because he wasn't going quietly.

    Once the cops get engaged it's like a switch and it's real hard to just shut off.

    Should the cop had stayed on his neck?  I don't think so, optics aren't good on that.

    Should all 4 have been fired?  It saved the city so far and not rioting so yes but, the cops went without due process.

    It's an ugly situation and nobody is winning.

    If I am wrong and there is more footage and more to the story comes around then I can be swayed.

    Better idea: Arrest all 4 officers involved and subject them to countless hours of interrogation until they perjure themselves or incriminate each other.

    Just because cops have no idea on how to deescalate a situation is no excuse to kill someone.

    The man who died was clearly not resisting.  He was clearly overpowered and there was no reason to kill him.  The store owner already provided footage of the arrest showing he was complying with the arrest and stated he was cooperating.  

    This was an execution, plain and simple.  Mayor is now calling for the cop to be arrested, which is the right call.

    He had over 5 minutes to take his knee off the guy's throat and not kill him.  This might be the most blatant one I've ever seen.  That the guy was suspected of forgery is icing on the cake.

    Definitely involuntary manslaughter at least and third degree murder at worst. I just can’t see how a defense counsel could justify that use of force (which it was, “use of force” isn’t always having to use a weapon). Get the cuffs on him and move on. I hope they make an example out of the cop. That defiant look on his face while he kneels on dude’s neck. Ugh. There’s racism, sure. But there’s deeper issues with a guy like this. Probably beats the shit out of his wife, etc. I bet investigators find a lot of crazy shit on him as this plays out.

    Tremendous failure this guy was a cop at all. As already mentioned, his complete disregard for his actions of that knee grinding into Floyd's neck. He does look like he's enjoying it. It's a sick satisfying look. The whole hand in his pocket only further shows his lack of concern and comes off as a display of power.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    I hope they release some of the body cam footage at some point in the next few weeks. It does appear the 1st officers on scene struggle with him when first getting him out of the car, but it's impossible to see anything or hear what is being said. I also don't think either of them are the one who put a knee in his neck. Nothing justifies a knee in the back of someone's neck for 7 minutes.

    Edit: I wonder why they cut that video? It was just starting to show what was happening with him either falling down or passively resisting. Maybe the motion on the camera cut out because it got too far away, but it seems there is enough peripheral activity to keep the recording going.

    He was cuffed and sitting on the ground after being removed from his car. Then walked across the street to his murder. They could have placed him in the back of the suv patrol car parked where he was detained. Or, they could have pulled the other patrol car up to where he was sitting, thus lessening the time and distance he could have acted up in an effort to get him in the car. Looks to me like a conscious decision to take him away from and out of camera range. No excuse. No justification. And it was a knee on his neck, another officer on his back and one each on each of his legs. While cuffed behind his back.

    It might not be. I've seen this posted a few times on twitter trying to disprove it. But if it's from his own facebook, who knows?





    The last thing I want to see here is the framing of an already guilty man. The video speaks for itself. We don't need fake (or even real) MAGA hat pictures to prove he's racist. But if that is a real picture...typical.

    I pulled that pic right off of his FB.  He was even commenting on it.  A few of his buddies were telling him to "hang in there" and shit.

    Now I can't seem to find his FB page.  I'm guessing his attorney must have told him to take it down.

    If, and it's a big if, he goes to prison he'll end up in either segregation or in gen-pop with the ABs so either way he's protected.

    Not all cops get off..and I can't see anyone locked up with him wanting to befriend an ex cop..Still amazing not one of the other cops even tried to get the guy to take his knee off the guys neck..He was down already.
