50 person party. Only 1 arrest. He had an illegal handgun, but it was probably because he was black though. The other 49 just got lucky.
doesn't that seem excessive to you?

And no, 12 cops when trying to break up a party of 50 doesn’t seem excessive to me, especially when they refuse and begin to get aggressive. Would you want to be the solo cop in that situation?
can you give me one example where a black person was shot for being at a park during this lockdown? Because I see groups of black men playing basketball at my park almost every day. So far I haven’t seen any crime scene tape or even any cops.
2 cops : 50 white folk :: 12 cops : 50 not white folk
Totes the same!
Really? The woman arrested is a known anti-vaxxer. She immediately told someone to call some organization (inaudible). This was totally an organized political stunt on her part.
And if so, so what, how is that connected to this story? Doesn’t change the fact all I saw in the video were 3 or 4 women acting like an idiot to the cop and you’re comparing that to a group of 50 aggressively marching dawn a street.
Totes the same tho.0 -

Totes the same tho.
You said if those Idaho women were black they would have been maxed and shot. I gave you 2 examples of larger and more aggressive groups where none of that happened and the only arrest was for a gun. You asked why does the group in Idaho only get 2 cops while the group of 40 gets 12.Your response was to say things like “totes the same.”
If your claim was accurate that of these Idaho women were black they would have been maxed and shot, wouldn’t we have seen something in those examples I provided?
Ill ask again, show me an example where a black person was shot for being in a park during this quarantine. I can give you several examples of white people being arrested for being at a park.You’re the one who brought race into this quarantine issue, I’m just asking you to defend it. “Totes the same” is not much of a defense for your argument though. But I’m willing to listen if you have one.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

I really don’t know why I’m trying to explain it, but I will. Take color out. One group consists of 2 or 3 elementary yelling about constitutional rights and the other group is mixed of 40 male and female yelling in your face things like “get the fuck out!” Which group seems more aggressive? Which group would require more cops to control?
I’m just asking for one example to support your claim. Give me one example where a black person was peppered sprayed then shot for disobeying the quarantine. I provided examples that totaled nearly 100 people and no one was peppered sprayed or shot, despite a gun being involved. Just give me an example of 1 person and I’ll withdraw the 100 I just gave.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

I’d like to see what they said. I haven’t seen anything, just the PD giving some background info. Which I don’t think was smart. At this point the only statements should be “we are investigating the incident and our policy is to not comment further about an investigation.” Then if/when the cop is fired you can add some comments.Post edited by mace1229 on0 -

My observation in the cesspool known as Twitter is that the rate of defending this was less than usual. There were a few...this is to be expected in this hyper-political divided time. Some people will defend cops under any circumstance imaginable; and I'm sorry, but particularly when the victim is black. It's almost not about this cop and this kid, but the ideological war we're in. It's like admitting this is wrong is somehow taking a step toward validating the other side.

Do you know more details about that incident? That’s a pretty broad claim to make without the details. Not saying there aren’t unjustified shootings and incidents, I just don’t jump to that conclusion without learning more about it.0 -
