I requested several refunds. I kept the ones for which I have trades in place with other fans or if they were top tier seats. If the seat locations were mediocre I requested a refund.on2legs said:

So is this more about an interest free loan to Ticketmaster or preferring they scrap all tickets and getting another shot at better tickets?SHZA said:

I don't really want them to scrap all tickets but if they had to do it for some reason I'd understand.on2legs said:

My original point seems to have gotten lost. I was just pointing out in response to a post saying that they don't understand why anyone would get a refund unless they really needed the money, that not wanting to subsidize ticketmaster for a year would also be a legitimate reason, since you'll have another crack at tickets down the road. We can debate whether that's a good reason, but it's a reason. That's really all I'm saying.0 -

ConorKavanagh said:Why is everyone being so weird in this thread?Oddly enough it's a polarizing topic. Everyone get's the people that are hard up for cash and need the refunds. That part is straightforward.People like myself have a hard time understanding why people would ditch tickets when they don't need to. Given how much of a pain the process is to get tickets, why one would subject themselves to that to prevent TM/LN a few bucks on interest is beyond me. On the flip side, those people who are asking for refunds (even though they don't need them) don't quite understand those of us, that would keep our tickets until the show would happen (even if it's 1 or 2 years away).Personally, my brain thinks it's unfathomable to walk away from concert tickets unless there's a specific reason I can't go (wedding of a close relative, I got really sick, etc...). In the hundreds and hundreds of concerts i've been too I think I've missed 3. I missed a Foo Fighters show in Edmonton because I was hallucinating with bronchitus, I missed Judas Priest because my wife was pretty sick, and we sold everclear tickets once because I had to go to a wedding. For me, I'll do anything I can to get to the concert. It's so against my DNA to let tickets go. It baffles me not everyone feels the same
I do realize the Coronavirus is a big thing, but I fully expect in a year or two, life moves on, and the concerts happen. Maybe something conflicts with me traveling for the new dates, but I'd do my best to make it.I think this topic might be a personal issue of people that think to similar lines like I do, and those who don't. Not entirely being able to fully understand the headspace of the different thoughts and ideas.0 -
I hear what you're saying, but to me it's maybe time to step away from the keyboard when we're getting into talking about the machinations of the contract we enter into when we purchase a tank of gas from a station.Dublin 2006

I’d like the refund, but keep the tickets. Recharge me when they go back in sale.0

I have had this virus hit my workplace, family and friends pretty hard in NJ. I can not see myself going to any show with GA even available in the room. This would be the first PJ MSG show ive ever missed, but to me this is bigger than a concert.
Id like a refund and a redraw. IMO, other than a vaccine in whenever, its the safest and only option.0 -
Concerts, whether GA or not, will be among the very last events to come back. Especially in NYC. Neither the city or Pearl Jam will allow a show unless everyone’s safety is assured which means until we have a vaccine we won’t have the show.RS65573 said:I have had this virus hit my workplace, family and friends pretty hard in NJ. Redraw? Why not just trade your GA for great seats? Also why would you miss the show? You guys are talking like the show has a new date and is going on in an unsafe manner. I just do not get the thought process going on here.RS65573 said:I have had this virus hit my workplace, family and friends pretty hard in NJ. I just don't see the point in all of the butt-hurt. Everyone has different options with how to proceed with their tickets. I'm in the same boat with the European leg. Life goes on....if we're lucky.Dublin 2006

I'm not in GA, I'm in the front row behind GA. Vaccine being year or 2, or never, I just cant imagine being near that many people.
So you'd rather wait longer and have GA rather than just seats? IDK, I would rather eliminate GA, shoot for sooner show rather than later and be cautious.
And i'm aware id likely not win them again, I've lost many times.0 -

Here's a new wrinkle. First time I've got one of these. Instead of ticketmaster refunding the buyer directly, they charge my card immediately, and then I have to request a refund by email, which I'll get in "as soon as" 30 days "if approved." Very inefficient. I'm sure many people will overlook these messages and not request a refund until it's too late.0 -
I sold 3 pairs of tickets on the F2F as I was working my way to better seats. I wonder how long it will be before I receive one, or three of these? Some of the people might want to keep them, but probably not all of them.SHZA said:
