    I'm sitting this one out
    Out of curiosity I asked Jeeves how many followers trump and biden have since I don't social media. It feels like everybody else is "connected" and it makes me wonder if those follower numbers have any bearing on how voting could go. I tend to think many trump followers are just people looking for ammunition so who knows how many are actual supporters, but with young voters being a major target of the dems it has to be a little concerning that it doesn't seem they are following biden even though staring at a phone is the new national pastime. Or maybe biden's numbers are respectable in social media terms, I don't know. I'm feeling verklempt, talk amongst yourselves.

    Trump has a shit ton of followers because he's the President. And, yeah, it's for every reason imaginable on the continuum from love to hate. There's really been no compelling reason to follow Biden up until recently. Trump had a big head start, essentially.

    Do you think it really matters? We know there are a ton of fake Twitter accounts.  And lots if people overseas.  In the primaries we learned first hand that Twitter traffic was no harbinger of voter turnout or even opinions.

    Could I walk into a police station in Stockholm or anywhere in Sweden and file a criminal complaint or make an allegation of sexual assault that occurred 8 or 12 or 27 years ago? Hire an attorney and file a civil suit?

    No, I don't think it matters at all. Just saying that I think he has more social media followers for reasons that have nothing to do with voter intent.

    No link to her “original” podcast? How odd. Couldn’t negotiate a hit rate? Why was the podcast after midnight and picked up by a Pakistani news agency?     Has Biden himself denied this? And I don't mean some limp "statement from the campaign." Because that seems to be the most obvious defense for his supporters to point to. Instead of relying on the most hackneyed shitbag dudebro tropes that are used whenever a woman speaks out.

    When evaluating something as delicate as a sexual assault allegation, why charge in like an oafish cable news pundit and reduce it to "well why was it never used as an oppo hit?"
    Because it never being used is relevant. Because I don't believe the GOP would have missed this, and I absolutely believe they would have used it. Everything about our political history since the Clinton years points to that being true. I understand that truth might be inconvenient for you.
