Nada... that's not propaganda. I mean maybe some Russian trolls are pushing it through the channels, but that's something you hear lots of real people say.Spiritual_Chaos said:I don't get it. what is wrong about voting blue no matter who?0

Well it would make more sense watching the live update I guess. No more than 5 can sit in a group at the park and must sit 1.5 metres apart yet malls and shopping centres with hundreds of people is fine?Spiritual_Chaos said:

Maybe Aus is struck harder than Sweden, but we have pretty much the same restrictions....0

Tens of thousands of Volvo workers have been laid off, and the state goes in with compensation for missing wages. At the same time, AB Volvo plans to pay dividends in the billion class.- This is what the system looks like, says press manager Claes Eliasson.
Sometimes you need some more socialism."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

yeah that is pretty much the motto of the democratic party at this point. vote blue, no matter who, down the whole ballot.mrussel1 said:

no russian propaganda arm needed to convince most of us that anything, anybody, is better than trump and the gop at this point."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

Yes ofc. But that is beside the point. Me saying VOTE GREEN NO MATTER HOW MEAN because of my own reasons =/= Norweigans trolling with it to keep us Swedes from competing in the fish market.DewieCox said:

But is it reasonable that AB Volvo pays almost ten billion to the shareholders, while you receive 300 million from the state a month for employees' severance pay?- I cannot review the reasonableness of the Board's proposal. On the eighth of April, the AGM will vote on the proposal, we will come back when we know the result, says Eliasson.Annelie Karlsson, Social Democrats' group leader in Parliament, is critical of Volvo's actions:- I thank you for the greed and selfishness that this proposal demonstrates. As obvious as it is that we all, through the state, help companies and employees in this global crisis, just as obviously, all citizens and businesses take responsibility and use the support as needed instead of abusing it. The latter also includes shareholders, she says."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

If for some reason Bernie were to actually win the nomination, most Biden supporters would support Bernie. Because while Bernie is clearly the lesser Democratic candidate, he is still better than Trump.
Bernie supporters have been indoctrined to support Bernie or no one at all. Who does that benefit?0

Some of these may not make sense to people overseas but there are the numbers from yesterday in Aus. Our Government and opposition are working together on this.

I don't see how that is financially possible. 1 month of covering salaries has got to be eat up the budget for the entire year. Its all nice to hear and sounds great, but where does that money come from? DO they pay these salaries for a month then government shuts down for the rest of the year? I just don't see how that is possible.Spiritual_Chaos said:I can't deal with all this S O C I A L I S M.I just googled it, average over the last 20 years was 65%. It’s also amazing what you can afford when you tax your citizens an astonishing 65%.That didn’t seem right, but saw it posted in several sites.
and if they pay 75% of their salary, then tax them 65%, they really are paying less than half.If we were to look at a larger blue state like the one I live in, that tend to provide services to its residents, when you add up all taxes, income fedl state local, fica, property and sales taxes, excise taxes and on... the effective rate is probably close to 50%.
now let’s add on the cost of college and healthcare, you are probably right at that European rate of 65%
but Euros don’t have to worry about bankruptcy issues to the extent we do in the states caused by healthcare or excessive college costs. Plus they don’t have slow as crap trains and pot holed roads because their 65% covers infrastructure modernization.0

Not to start a debate on different countries and all that comes with that on this board. And I do not know how accurate this forbes infographic is, but here are at least some numbers. I do not know where the 65% thing comes from.Lerxst1992 said:mace1229 said:

Her “diagnosis”.When it was being used to push the right’s agenda, it was immediately dismissed. This should be just as swiftly dismissed.Post edited by DewieCox on0
