My job would be considered essential, however this is dependent on the freight we have available to haul and how many drivers above me would be willing to stay home. Now we have implemented some additional cleaning measures given we have shared trucks. Terminals have seen some alterations too.the changes I see in general are the same ones everyone else is facing out in the world.

Thanks for sharing your story. I didn’t have time to read it when I shared what I expect to change for me. But it makes me think of things I never would have thought of. All I could think is where is all the toilet paper and not consider those driving across states in those conditions. No places to stop, eat, and most importantly get good rest.
I hope they improve the conditions for drivers like you and make it safer and more comfortable.0 -

Hey Mike, hope all is well. It’s crazy to think that the truck drivers out there are not getting enough praise for what you guys are doing. Just like the professional health care providers out there, you and all the other drivers out there are doing your part of what is helping out everybody in this time of need. Without you guys, the very much needed supplies around the country and world would never get to where they need to be. After reading the situations you and all the other drivers are encountering, I don’t doubt that you all are on the front lines just like the health care providers. So with that being said, thank you for what you all are doing out there, and please stay safe. Hope to see you and the gang soon when this tour gets rescheduled. It’s always a blast when Speedy rounds up the troops and gets everybody together for the pre parties. Stay safe out there.0

I hope they improve the conditions for drivers like you and make it safer and more comfortable. It was just a 48 hour experience in Pennsylvania where parking became an issue. Other than that, I am making great timing wherever I travel. Because sadly, there is nobody else on the road. Its creepy at times.
But the truck stops restaurants are open, but like everywhere else its just carryout. But for the truckers who spend weeks at a time on the road, I cant begin to tell u how nice it is to every once in a while walk into Dennys and get some nice hot breakfast and a cup of coffee. It just brings 30 minutes of normalcy to our lives.
My only true gripe as of now is my fellow truckers not playing by the rules. Not keeping a safe distance from one another, not wearing the gloves etc.

So thanks for the reminder to make sure that my auto renewal is on for my renewal date March 31st.I let mine go just because I really have only used it for tix once or twice in the last 10 years. It just wasn't all that important anymore. I still and always will find my way in to the shows. I only renewed today because obviously in this world we live in I wanted to come here and chat with some old friends. I have been around these boards for 17 years, and I just felt today was the time to talk.
But yeah, looking at a 714xxx number is kind of hysterical.

Three of them were in 2003 Chicago St Paul and East Troy Wisconsin. Since that year 2 more, 2014 Milwaukee the YIELD show & 1 Wrigley 2016. The rest we're through other means.

I'd rather my university just cancel university this year. Many will be too anxious to focus on studying and working on assessment tasks.Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140

One of if not the most unappreciated professions.
Eternally grateful for the daily sacrifices and the unwavering efforts 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
Hopefully this uncertain, scary time will result in a newfound respect for one of the most stressful jobs on earth.

I have some guy coming to buy a modem off me tomorrow.
Wondering how to do the transaction without getting close to him.
Do I ask him to leave the money on the floor and I'll leave the modem on the floor?Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140
