HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You just convinced me to renew my 382XXX, my first fan club number was in the 200xxxx's before Auto renew and somehow I lost it, forgot or didn't take it seriously and let it go in 2005. Devastated by that I restarted in 2006 at 382 XXX. So thanks for the reminder to make sure that my auto renewal is on for my renewal date March 31st.

I let mine go just because I really have only used it for tix once or twice in the last 10 years. It just wasn't all that important anymore. I still and always will find my way in to the shows. I only renewed today because obviously in this world we live in I wanted to come here and chat with some old friends. I have been around these boards for 17 years, and I just felt today was the time to talk.
But yeah, looking at a 714xxx number is kind of hysterical.
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Eternally grateful for the daily sacrifices and the unwavering efforts 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Hopefully this uncertain, scary time will result in a newfound respect for one of the most stressful jobs on earth.
I have some guy coming to buy a modem off me tomorrow. Wondering how to do the transaction without getting close to him. Do I ask him to leave the money on the floor and I'll leave the modem on the floor?

You don't have any app for that in the AUS?
We have one called Swish which everyone uses. You connect your phone number to your bank, and people just pay to eachothers phone numbers.
You don't have something similiar?

Im thinking of you to my friend. Facts are facts.
The next 2 weeks in New York are going to be absolutely HORRIFYING. Our nation is going to survive this, but we truly are in for some sadness in the coming weeks. We have all been informed about the true numbers we are about to see coming out of New York, and it is just almost inconceivable.
BE SAFE

my job is changing by the day. I am a territory manager/sales rep in orthopaedic surgery. my territory is 7 hours across at this time. I live in STL and go all the way from there to kansas city, columbia, ste genevieve, cape girardeau, MO, all the way to Mt. Vernon, Marion, and Carbondale. IL. i have been out of STL 9 of the last 10 business days. I have been in different hospitals and surgery centers each of those days. some hospitals and some facilities are handling this in very different ways. monday and tuesday last week in columbia were business as usual. the main change was you were only allowed one mask to last you the entire day. when i used to scrub cases i used to get a new one for each case because i was always afraid of getting "blessed", meaning splashed with microscopic blood and tissue particles and having that shit on my mask for an extended time. now that i am in sales i am far enough away from the patients where I am safe from that. I went to Marion on Thursday for a meeting to try to close this big deal we have been working on for 5 months and we had to fill out paperwork, why we were there, who we were meeting with, and had to have our temperature taken. we were then escorted to the admin office for the meeting. No big deal. meeting went well, but i know that this purchase was not the primary thing on the CEO and CFO's minds. those guys' jobs and policies are changing by the hour. Friday I was back in columbia and the entire world had changed. we could no longer walk from the adjoining parking lot into the main entrance. We had to be shuttled in a golf cart that had clear plastic drapes on all sides. we then got dropped off at the only entrance allowing people in and out, on the equivalent of the 3rd floor instead of where we normally enter on floor 1. when i got there, same thing, paperwork and temperature check. i went in on the 3rd floor and was immediately lost. i needed to get to the sterile processing center and the OR located on the 1st floor and the elevators were turned off and there was only one set of stairs that I could access. i allowed myself 75 minutes between arrival and case start time to make sure i was there and everything was ready to go. the case was delayed by 2 hours since they have shut down most of the ORs so all of the cases had to follow each other instead of go into other rooms. on the way home friday evening i got a call that the 4 main hospital systems in st louis have canceled all elective surgeries for 2-3 weeks. this is great for patient safety and helping to curb the spread, but horrible for my bottom line because my living is based on doctors using my products in surgery. no surgeries, no product purchases. thankfully i am doing ok and will be able to pay my bills. that is not the same story for some reps i know. the company is talking about doing some quota relief and potentially giving us some emergency money to keep everyone afloat for the next few weeks, but that has not been settled upon yet. the crazy thing to me is most hospitals are canceling elective cases, but this one account in columbia is ADDING them. it gives me pause because every time I go there I am potentially getting exposed to covid and it is giving me anxiety. other reps across the country are complaining about how they are bored. i am like, you want to give me a day off and cover these add on cases for me? other accounts have revoked visiting privileges for reps. i was supposed to target these two hand surgeons to show them a new product line before 3/31 but now i am unable to do that. hopefully the company is understanding of that and that i am not just ignoring the marketing team's assignments. St. Louis is now under a stay at home order. I need to figure out if i am allowed to cover these add on cases later this week in columbia. I think i am essential, but have not been told so by the government or the company.
it is a scary time for everyone. the best we can do is follow the recommendations, practice social distancing, wash out hands, and try to help each other out. the way i see it, i can be a pandemic angel and do these things, or i can be a pandemic dickhead and just live my life the way i did 2 weeks ago like these moron spring breakers in florida. i am going to try to be an angel. i hope the rest of us follow suit.
good luck to everyone here. we will get through this together.

And good luck to you, especially as you go in and out of those hospitals.
I am also a health care provider and I also find that my job is changing by the day, or more likely several times a day. Policy updates and directives that we get first thing in the morning have changed by afternoon. All day long we are having to make decisions on things that could have major ramifications for the people around us, without complete information. Everyone is frightened and a bit distracted. We are encouraged to do as much patient care by telehealth/remote technologies but of course that doesn't apply to inpatients, who are already right there in front of you. Some people who had routine appointments booked have already cancelled, while others are very anxious that they won't get the care they need and really want to go ahead, even if it means a telephone appointment.
Everything changed between last Monday and today. I wonder what further changes we'll see this week.

Not much. I still go to work everyday. The only real problem is not seeing my Dad and Brother in Law (both high risk). I work in the cannabis industry which is regulated and uses many things like hand sanitizers, gloves, gowns, bootys by the boat load...so I’m not sure why they are allowed to operate normally...
First off: Thank you to you and Mickey and your peers for keeping food in our tummies!
The greatest impact C19 has on me pertains to education and my child. I will be teaching her from home for the remainder of the year. It's a good thing I just completed a teaching degree. Unfortunately, my prospects of teaching on call are now limited and my income will be a bit less than I would have hoped this year. I am great with saving money so my financial concern are low.
My kid is with me 24/7!!! That's alot! Poor kid! (Just kidding. I love it and I'm not a fan of others getting more time with her than me!)
The second biggest change will be maintaining good health by managing stress, anxiety, worry, grief and loss while being hopeful about how we can change and grow our society in a way that will benefit Mother Earth and future generations. Small impacts are not being able to ski or swim at the public pool for exercise. There is so much nature where I live, I have found alternatives such as soccer, catch, or badminton at the beach. (I need a pump for my basketball, although the kid is still a bit young for that sport.) We enjoy driving with the top down and singing along to our favourite tunes.
I had to postpone a Disney Cruise. Right now I was meant to be riding a camel on the beach. Where I am from, they call this a Cadillac problem. I may have to cancel Lollapalooza Paris, too.
I have it pretty damn good. My heart goes out to all those struggling.

Considered on a par with a pharmacy here, so open though mainly for delivery. Great precautions as well.

my job is changing by the day.
I wonder what further changes we'll see this week.
yes you are saying exactly what i am hearing from others in patient care at my accounts. emails with policy changes that you receive when you get to work in the morning are obsolete by the afternoon. in my experience, everyone seems to be rolling with the punches and adapting pretty well. my concern is the strain it is putting on caregivers and people in your situation. will everyone still be as cheerful and adaptable 3 or 4 weeks from now? it is a huge strain on everyone, especially those on the front line like you. I was in patient care for 19 years until october 2019 when I took this job. so my mindset is still very much patient focused. the last thing i want is for someone healthy to come in for an elective ortho procedure and leave the facility sick. that would be horrible. i think we need to cancel all elective cases for a few weeks at minimum.
good luck to you and do not forget to take care of yourself as you are caring for the patients.

Damn I know exactly what you do for a living , I’m the person you would submit your bill for items you provide for that special surgery I cut all the PO’s for all orthopedic surgeries I deal with Synthes Stryker Johnson&Johnson there’s a whole lot more vendors I deal with too , be well stay safe the hospital I work has also stopped Elective surgeries and no reps allowed only for specific cases ..
ah yes. you are the person i need to find at every account. i think some of them hide from me because they are not the easiest people to find, haha...
all of those are great companies with great products. i know people that work for all of those companies.
i know a rep for a different company who was called in on Thursday to cover a case for Friday. he got to the hospital and the hospital would not give him a mask so he could not enter the OR. he had to stand outside the door and a circulator would open the door to ask him questions about what the next steps of the case will be. they were holding the OR door open to talk to him. it would have been better had they given him a mask and just let him in the room instead of holding the door open. we are certainly living in strange times. you stay safe too, my friend.

We have one called Swish which everyone uses. You connect your phone number to your bank, and people just pay to eachothers phone numbers.
You don't have something similiar?
Its good to see Marybeth here, right!!!!

Thanks for sharing your story, gimme, and thanks for being an angel!
My heart goes out to all those struggling.
good luck to you and do not forget to take care of yourself as you are caring for the patients.
