My children's school cancelled for two weeks, into spring break, so effectively 3.

So how does it work in the states - if one wants to get tested, is it free? Or does it cost, using ones own insurance or out of pocket if one doesn't have one?

And if you have to take time off work because of it, will you get paid in any way while on sick leave? Depends on the union's agreement with the employer? Or depends on your own health insurance? Or is there a state funded pay for people who have to stay home because of being sick with this?

Even when something reaches "pandemic" status, or is highly infectious etc?

So... for people who were gonna pick Trump over Sanders... would Bernie Bae do something on the level of this if he was in charge during an outbreak?

Because this is like, being on the level of being impeached (again) ?!

And should be a surefire win for Biden, if true(?)

Well, the Governor of IL just spoke and we were expecting him to announce school closures across the state.  Shame on me for thinking he would make his first wise decision since being elected.  What a complete moron this clown is.

Begin House investigation but don’t call it impeachment. Yet.

My brother who works in the LA county sheriff dept just told me they canceled all vacation time and told everyone who is patrolled trained to be ready to be back on the street to prepare to enforce mass quarantines.

I heard testing is free for this.
Sick time depends on employer and the person. I get 10 days a year. I switched districts this year so lost all my banked days, I have about 3 left. I would assume if I get it I get unpaid time off after I run out. That’s probably the case for most, don’t see why the government or employer needs to pay you for being sick.

Working with the public these days is so much fun.  It's like playing Russian Roulette with a 50 shooter and their telling me one chamber is empty!

Tried to stop at the supermarket for 3 items. It’s mobbed. People fighting, empty shelves, no Paper bags (plastic was banned 3/1), absolute chaos. So I’m thinking, what bought out the worst in people?
    a) covid-19
    b) PJ lottery
