Disappointing to say the least, but you're right. We all love PJ. The common denominator!lastexitlondon said:Health first . Well done on being heart felt and honest. Its of course the right move. Im sure as always the band will make good as much as they can in future. Be safe everyone. And be kind to eachother this place has become even more hostile than ever.
Please remember we all love music amd we all want to see the band play.
But we all have family .0

I'm thinking as long as they get this(Corona)under control maybe they will announce a summer/fall leg and make up dates for this tour. Just a guess, but they are for sure going to want to promote the new album ASAP. I know they're truly bummed. Shit blows.radar said:Any possible dates ? This year ? Next year ?0

Everyone is disappointed. Let's turn this thread around! Apologize for engaging in turning this political.

And in the night, I've been waiting for
A real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
 I go to sleep"

The comments here are sad, pathetic, disgusting, etc. people are dead, and your biggest concern is if I’m going to see Pearl Jam.0

Blaming the government for lack of information? The information is there, its just not being reported, you know like H1N1 when thousands of Americans died before our administration at the time considered it a crisis. Nobody canceled anything, the market didn't change, I wonder why? PJ, does draw a lot of travelers though so I guess I understand. Bummer.

I understand them postponing. But I would also say Being frustrated not getting to see Pearl Jam and loosing a hell of a lot of money =/= not caring about people dying.patrickwieczore said:The comments here are sad, pathetic, disgusting, etc. people are dead, and your biggest concern is if I’m going to see Pearl Jam."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

Two paragraphs, right next to each other.regalturbo said:I'm just as bummed/pissed as anyone, but it's a really weak move to blame the government for their decisions. Just man up and own the calls you made. It just adds more dissent and anger to an already crappy situation.
"We’ve worked hard with all our management and business associates to find other solutions or options but the levels of risk to our audience and their communities is simply too high for our comfort level. Add to that we also have a unique group of passionate fans who travel far and wide. We’ve always been humbled by this and respect their energies and devotion. However in this case, travel is something to avoid. It certainly hasn’t helped that there’s been no clear messages from our government regarding people’s safety and our ability to go to work. Having no examples of our national health department’s ability to get ahead of this, we have no reason to believe that it will be under control in the coming weeks ahead. " I disagree that they're "blaming the government", and I don't see how you can disagree with that portion of the statement even. Read that paragraph and tell me where it's false.
I feel for anyone who is losing money as a result, or may not be able to make the rescheduled dates. That sucks.PJ is seeing firsthand what’s happening in Seattle... I trust their judgement.
Defensive Trump supporters should stfu, he’s bungled this every step of the way.
and every other BS term that has managed to insert the Left vs Right paradigm into every facet of our lives?
Not everything needs to be politicized
The biggest snowflakes in this thread are the ones whining about how Pearl Jam mentioned the lack of clear messaging from our government in response to this.
Considering it was less than a week ago that Dear Leader suggested “thousands, or even hundreds of thousands” are getting better by “just sitting around or even going to work”, I think it’s a very valid complaint for the band, or any other American to make.https://twitter.com/politidope/status/1235415582931066880?s=21
It’s ok to say this administration bungled the response to this. It’s also reality.0

Can't imagine how difficult it must have been to make this decision. Was looking forward to MSG but this was the right call.0

I’m fine with whatever they decided. Could have done without the political side swipe. Makes Ed look small other than to his sycophants. But that’s fine too. Who knows? Maybe Ed is really an 80 yo with respiratory issues. He should stop smoking. Maybe that’s some good that comes out of this. That and people finally washing their fucking hands.
Going to The Garden tonight to enjoyThe Brothers 50th Anniversary show. Not the least bit worried. Maybe there will be less traffic heading to the city because of all the people panicking. Everyone stay home because you don’t like the President.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0

If you are reading that statement as a call for a revolt against the government, that is you projecting. That call isn't there.SS105464 said:
There is no clear message from OUR government nor from any other government in any other country in the world. No one knows enough about how this virus spreads and how to quickly diagnose people who contract it. To point fingers at our government at this stage is absurd. Should the people of Italy revolt because their government failed to stop a huge spread of the disease? Putting blame really shows how divided the U.S. is, and that so many people are letting politics ruin one of the best countries in the world. I don't know if this world will ever recover from all the hate that is generated daily.JimmyV said:This really isn't an incorrect statement:"It certainly hasn’t helped that there’s been no clear messages from our government regarding people’s safety and our ability to go to work.
