Better than Warren's embarrassing policies and Trumps embarrassing crimes.  Somehow Joe's 50 years of public service doesn't bother me quite as much.

Guess I can sit out the primary as well as the general this year.
This illustrates why I envy the right.  They're united (they even had an event).  Nobody says "I'll only vote for one candidate in the general otherwise I am sitting out." They all just suck it up and vote for Trump.
I know, right? Sucks how some of us are capable of independent thought.

mrussel1 i disagree. we are a laughingstock on the world stage right now. we do not need biden going in there and continuing the clown show. i love fighting joe, but he is not the guy to follow trump in my opinion. it will just be the same thing, gaffe after gaffe. maybe not as often as dumbass trump, but joe will make a lot of mistakes, and we can't have that.

How often does a president have to debate?  How often does he riff?  Not very often.  His/her decisions are informed by a team of advisers that deliberate before making a decision.  Speeches are written in advance.  While I wish he didn't gaffe, he has done so his entire career, even when he was a young man.  It's so irrelevant in the grand scheme of a president's duties.

I really, really take issue with ageist attitudes, and I have always been a big fan . . . but for real, even I am beginning to think Biden is no longer working with a full deck. It's embarrassing to watch, even when he's not in the middle of a gaffe. Listening to him talk, I sense that he's really not in touch with the current world. I just can't support him in the primary.

I'm still hoping Amy Klobuchar breaks out of the pack soon.

    Seriously?

Joe ever walk into a locker room full of naked teenagers?

Joe ever brag about grabbing and kissing without consent?

Joe ever cheat on his wife with a porn star?

I have sometimes half jokingly/ half seriously proposed the idea that we don't need a president but rather someone to represent us like a king or queen or "Country's Person of Importance".  I say that because in so many cases, a president does exactly what you are basically saying here:  they read a speech someone else wrote, make decisions based on what advisors say they should do, and cave in to pressure from others with a lot of money and power.  If that is the case, what we really need is someone cool and suave to represent us.  Maybe someone cool, smart and sophisticated like Denzel Washington or Ethan Hawke.  Don't give them any real power (since the president doesn't really have all that much autonomous power anyway), just let them represent us in a way we can be proud of.

But since no one on the face of the planet has taken my suggestion and run with it, how about we elect a president who isn't a dick, doesn't come off like a buffoon, isn't a bigot or sexist pig, who is smart, diplomatic, well spoken, compassionate, resourceful, and at least decent looking.  Is there not one person in politics at least a little bit that anymore?  I fear not.

This is getting scary. That is a :31 clip that is a goldmine for the other side. I really prefer if the Democrats refrain from giving them any ammo at all.

That's an old clip, but I'm sure there are many more.

Biden is not the guy to beat Trump like a drum.

Then find that person.  It ain't Warren.  I hope it's Pete, but I fear he's too nice.  I want to see him get amped.
