Which I guess is ok if you're only putting something out every decade+. I'm with those other guys and will wait for the singles/album before listening to anything else.8/28/98- Camden, NJ

I will wait until official release of these songs, but I am not thrilled about the comparison to 10,000. That album was good, but it's a deep dive even for Tool. Based on the rumors of song length though, it sounds like this album will be very similar track wise and probably consists of a lot of Wings for Marie/10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) songs. I feel like Lateralus was the right mix of old school Tool song formats and the new style, while 10,000 was weighted too heavy on instrumental, set building parts. I absolutely love the slow builds they have done with songs like Flood, Eulogy, Parabol/Parabola and Intension/Right in Two, but about one of those an album is perfect. It's a hopeless situation...0

If they make a 10K Pt2 I'd be tickled. When these guys play their instruments is when I get all giddy.0 -

HesCalledDyer said:I don't dislike it, but I'd easily rank it 4th out of all the full-length albums. And only because Opiate is pretty dated and premature in the evolution of the tool sound does it outrank it.I loved 10,000 Days. 2nd fav Tool album behind Aenima. Vicarious might be my fav song from them. The Pot, Lost/Keys/Rosetta Stoned, and Jambi are really good I think.8/28/98- Camden, NJ

Can you still get the lenticular CD case for it? I left mine on the car seat one day back in college and the fucker melted to high hell. Never tried to get a replacement. Thankfully the CD was in the stereo so it survived just fine.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -

Last tour I drove and drove to see them in VA then they added a show slightly closer to me in Hershey
Glad I caught both. 2 highlights:
They played Eulogy the only time since 2001 with Maynard. This was the week Chris Cornell died.
And during the Jambi solo, Adam's talk box wasn't loud enough. As the solo ended and the band was moving on in the song, Adam leaves his normal spot and walks center stage with his back to the crowd to get the band's attention. They seamlessly go back to the solo which Adam plays in standard fashion without the talk box effect
Very cool show.

My buddy & I toyed with the idea of driving down the coast to VA for the Hampton show on Friday... sadly, it wasn't meant to be, but some fall shows will ease the sting (fingers crossed).0 -
