    Anyway.....HUGE lead for Biden in new CNN poll. I really like how he is separating himself from the others by going directly at Trump. Makes him seem like the presumptive nominee. And Trump taking his bait the last few days makes Biden appear more presidential than Trump....as if that is hard to do.

    The 17 candidates at 2% or less should drop out by or during the summer at some point. Have it be between Biden, Pete, Kamela, Betto and Warren heading into the fall. Nice mix of candidates there. Oh, shit. And Bernie, unfortunately.

    My biggest issue with Biden is that he is old as dirt (as is Trump).  He would be 78 if he takes office and could potentially be 86 when he leaves. My money (and more importantly the money of donors) is on Beto as VP pick, especially with Texas as a potential upset.  Super white dude ticket though.

    So this is very interesting.  A few have taken a jab, namely Warren and Sanders.  More to the point, as we've seen on reposts here, it's Bernie's political assassins that have been doing the dirty work.  They post out of context information.  Fortunately, they generally preach to the converted, but we shall see if it bleeds into the 'mainstream' media.

    I think Biden's smart money for running mate (if he is the nom) is Harris. Although, anyone think that could actually backfire as being seen as the old white dude with the minority female "subordinate"?

    Trump took the bait on C'ville day one, doubling down on his defense.  That's a clear win for Biden.  Also, important minority leaders like Clyburn were very complimentary of his strategy.  I don't see Clyburn saying much until we get closer to their primary in February, but he will make a difference when he makes an endorsement.

    I think Harris is a force, she just hasn't found her footing yet.  She is someone that I want to hear more from, as the process moves forward.  She would be a good VP pick.  The old school strategy of picking a candidate based on state is gone, so being from CA is neither a positive or negative.

    Even if you dispute this report, it is hardly a stretch to think that a person's mental capacity (and everything else) can quickly go into the bucket between the ages of 78-86....JB's potential service years as POTUS.

    I will still vote for him...but his VP pick should be someone who is not also a fossil...and someone who would do a good job running the country, since there is a decent chance they will be forced to if he wins and then goes tits-up while in office.

    I don't think either of them should be options but will take it if that is what it is.  I think he is a good person and he would do his best to represent us well in his last few years.  ;)
