The Democratic Candidates

I knew 2 pretty healthy 70-year-olds + who both dropped dead of a heart attack, one on the main street of my hometown, the other in a Tim Hortons doorway...it does happen, likely more than we think. A supervisor 56, walked through his front door had a heart attack, was able to call 911 but was likely gone before EMS arrived...so a plan should be needed. I think the voter deserves to know what the plan is from anyone running for president...to my knowledge no candidate running for president has died...but keep running late 70 and 80-year-olds it is bound to happen.Give Peas A Chance…0 -

If a Presidential nominee (or VP nominee) dies after nomination but before the election, the party picks a replacement who may or may not be the VP.
If the VP nominee dies, the Pres nominee picks a new running mate.Post edited by njnancy on0 -

Now, how many people would change their vote, instead of voting for the unknown?Give Peas A Chance…0 -

It gets real complicated if they die between the general election and the electoral college (boo) votes

Some of us were dumb and voted 3rd party, thinking the election was not going to be close enough for it to matter. (My state was blue, anyway, but still...)

I also find it interesting that changing the system seems to be presented as a radically left behaviour represented by people such as Sanders and Warren, while in actuality, being underrepresented is a nonpartisan reality today. I don't know whether that's due to apathy, faithlessness, distraction, or lack of energy, but there doesn't seem to be a super-strong appetite for that in the country in spite of the tremendous impact.

We must band together to stop the madness. The love he receives is the love that is saved0
