Worldwide Suicide at the Astoria.
Do you ever get that feeling just as something is happening that you've been waiting for, where for a brief second or two you suddenly think "oh shit, what if it isn't as good as i've built it up to be? what if it disappoints me?"?
Well, just as Eddie and the boys came on stage, i had that very quick feeling mixed with euphoria and pure shock that i was finally seeing my favourite band in the whole world. As soon as i heard Eddie playing that ebow i knew what was coming and i was instantly uplifted and taken to another 'space' or 'dimension' where absolutely NOTHING else mattered in that moment other than the music.
Crowd started jumping straight away, singing along, lights flashing. It was just mayhem and it was like a drug. It was orgasmic, to say the least.
Only thing that matched it was hearing 'Release' a few months later in Verona. That was the 'one' that i'd been waiting for.
I never knew music could make me feel like this until i found PJ."This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them."0 -
once in san diego 1991...so powerful.....so much energy.....they played so hard...i remember mike having to change guitars like 3 times because he kept breaking all the strings!!! My first song I heard live was "Can't Keep" from the June 3rd 2003 show in Irvine CA. Is was so awsome, the sun was going down, there was an amazing sunset in the open air setting. All of a sudden the lights shut off, it's so quiet then the drums come in. Such an amazing experience ...first concert ever!Support the Troops

Hard to Imagine - Halifax, September 22, 2005
Well, I dreamed about one day seeing Pearl ja live for years. And when Pearl jam came out on stage that night, I kinda felt like it was another damn dream, especially because they were sitting down for the opener and I was thinking "What the fuck are they doing?!" then stone started playing the HTI riff, and I though "god dammit, this is another fucking dream." then i realized it wasn't, and i cried like a little girl. it really sums up the definition of "surreal" for me. It wasn't until Animal cut in next that it really hit me that i was at my first PJ concert. greatest 5 minutes of my life.0 -

In June 1993 I saw Pearl Jam because I went to a Neil Young show in Stockholm, Sweden. I lived in Sweden then. I did not know this band but I was amazed and I have loved them since. Animal was the first number they did, I did not even know that song then but I have loved it since. This show was historical because in Neil Youngs final number (I think it was Down by the River) fire broke loose in the speakers on the right side of the stage, right in front of me. Some guys went up there to put out the fire but it seemd as if the musicians never knew about the fire because as an encore Neil came back on stage with Pearl Jam and they started to do Rocking in the Free World while some guys were still up there in front of the speakers making shure the fire was dead. I remember them holding their hands on their ears when the music started so extremely loud. Oh, what a night is all I can say.
I saw Pearl Jam again in Vienna last summer and it was amazing. They have only gotten better. Now there are rumours about a show in Iceland (my homeland) next spring/summer and I am so excited. Im going to take all my friends to show them what kind of a super band this is.0 -
I believe in miracles, at the Gorge 2005. I'll never forget that experience... EVER0

Corduroy at Roskilde 2000. It was a beautiful opener that lead to so much pain 45 minutes later. In retrospect it was a horrible night, but the moment they hit the first chords was magic anyway. I hope to see the band at Roskilde again some day.

Yeah, I heard those tapes...scary...I doubt if PJ will ever play Roskilde again...0 -
My first song heard live was Better Man in San Diego on June 5th, 2003. I was very excited to finally see my favorite band live. After seeing them for three shows in a row, after Phoenix, I was bummed. My personal mini tour was over. Was a great three days however. A time I will never forget. Now if we can get them to come back to Phoenix, that would be nice.06/05/2003 - San Diego
06/06/2003 - Las Vegas
06/07/2003 - Phoenix0 -
First song I ever heard/saw live was Dead Man in Quebec City '05...but that was just Eddie alone. Still..fucking amazing.
The first song I ever heard the actual band play was Sometimes at the same concert.
I was a pretty big fan before the show..but..from that day on...I couldn't get enough of Pearl Jam, and I'm just a massive fan now.0
