I would argue that a full time caddie is due a 10% cut due to the time put in.  That caddie knows the golfer and is giving input based on the relationship.  If you are free-lancing and agree to a fee, it is what it is.  In the end the guy got his money, but his career will most likely be black-listed as result.  So your options are having a PGA win on your resume that will hopefully lead to a full time gig down the road with a pro or get paid $50K and be regulated to caddy for tourists for the rest of time.

Career blacklisted? He’s a resort caddie and barely speaks English.

Nice 5 under round by Tiger. Finally making a move on the first couple days. Still a lot of ground to make up

    That is absolutely  insane!

The only way I can make a ball move that much to the right after hitting it, is when I put it on a tee and try to hit it straight with my driver.

That follow through is priceless. That ball had wicked side spin on it. I hope so badly he’s in contention at Augusta.

The shot DJ just hit on the 2nd hole was incredible.

I saw that live...one hell of a shot for an eagle. Rory had a nice save for par on that hole as well.

  • I’m pulling for Cantlay to make a big run today. But I think this is def DJ’s tournament to win. Sergio will fall back.

Tiger played okay yesterday until he fell apart on the later half of the back 9. He easily could have been -9 coming into today. He’ll either be motivated or he won’t be in this final round.

So what does everyone think of all these drivable fours and essentially drivable par 5's (if you have a 9 iron for your second shot) at the course in Mexico?

I like short Risk/reward par 4’s. Make the guys think strategically.  I don’t like 600 yard par 5’s that are driver/ 8 or 9 iron. No strategy there. It’s hurting the game.

Not a big fan of short par 4's on the pro level.  Big advantage for the big sticks. Eagle is why you have par 5's..

But even the big sticks have a hard time landing the ball on small, crowned greens with proper pin placement. And the greens are usually surrounded by a fair amount of danger. The eagles are far less frequent than bogeys for the guys that try for the green in one.

60 degrees tomorrow so I'm taking the day off to get out and play. Just a little over a month away from my tournament season opener.

27 degrees tomorrow and no end in sight. Chicago weather blows. I’ve been hitting in a simulator but nothing outdoors yet. I’m itching to play.

I love Chicago. As a Cubs fan, I go to the city any chance I get. But I could not live there lol.

Shot 76 today and that was with only one birdie on the card. It's encouraging to know I can still score well even when the birdies aren't falling, but also frustrating to a point because it's like "what could have been?"

First 3 rounds of the year 78-76-76.

No sympathy here. I'll likely never score a 76 even once in my life.

These pros are starting to look like whiners on these rule changes.  You make millions for playing a game.  Quit whining about dropping a ball from your knee instead of shoulder.

I hear ya, but I wish they would've just gone to placing it. I think they'll change it again after this season, or at least look at it.

And I'd bitch too if I did something my entire life one way and got a penalty for a stupid change.
