Not a big fan of short par 4's on the pro level.  Big advantage for the big sticks. Eagle is why you have par 5's..
But even the big sticks have a hard time landing the ball on small, crowned greens with proper pin placement. And the greens are usually surrounded by a fair amount of danger. The eagles are far less frequent than bogeys for the guys that try for the green in one.

60 degrees tomorrow so I'm taking the day off to get out and play. Just a little over a month away from my tournament season opener.

27 degrees tomorrow and no end in sight. Chicago weather blows. I’ve been hitting in a simulator but nothing outdoors yet. I’m itching to play.

I love Chicago. As a Cubs fan, I go to the city any chance I get. But I could not live there lol.

Shot 76 today and that was with only one birdie on the card. It's encouraging to know I can still score well even when the birdies aren't falling, but also frustrating to a point because it's like "what could have been?"

First 3 rounds of the year 78-76-76.

No sympathy here. I'll likely never score a 76 even once in my life.

These pros are starting to look like whiners on these rule changes.  You make millions for playing a game.  Quit whining about dropping a ball from your knee instead of shoulder.

I hear ya, but I wish they would've just gone to placing it. I think they'll change it again after this season, or at least look at it.

And I'd bitch too if I did something my entire life one way and got a penalty for a stupid change.

We all deal with change though at our jobs.

48-39.  First time swinging a club in about 6 weeks so very happy with the round.  Probably last chance to golf until another six weeks.

That’s not a fair comparison. You’d be bitching too if there was a minor change, that is basically pointless, and it was something you have done over and over and over and if you go back to doing it the way you have always done it in the spur of the moment, you were docked a bunch of money.

You’d be like cool... I deserve that?

Like do this report, and press shift instead of enter and shift because it saves .000002 seconds  and if you do it the old way you lose $500

Nice recovery on the back 9.  It looks like the putter came around just in time..

If I made 10 million a year they could ask me to wear a dress to work and I would do it.    These new rules have been out for a few months now?  Yes, some rulings have been stupid but the reason I posted what I did is because Ricky posted some video mocking the drop from the knees.    If they want to say something in interviews, fine, but millionaires posting videos mocking a silly golf rule to me means they are out of touch.

Technically the broadcast posted it no? He did it on tv. The rule is fucking stupid. Either do it normal or let them just place it. The knee does nothing. How often are these guys taking drops in their casual practice rounds that they get used to the change.

Point being $500 to you is probably similar to the $10k or whatever he was docked. It’s dumb. It gave him not advantage. If anything it’s a disadvantage. It is dumb. It is the most basic thing they do and he lost a stroke in a money tournament because of it. His caddie should probably be docked the money but regardless, it’s fucking stupid

I just think golfers are turning into huge whiners.  The courses are more and more dull by the year because they can’t handle long rough or anything but a driver-wedge strategy.

A lot of dumb rules though.  But Ricky is being paid thousands of dollars On that hole and is acting like a petulant child.  No matter how dumb the rule.

I guess I just don't feel sorry for mostly country club kids.
