This isn't Facebook, people here realize that late term abortions are heartbreaking stories of women and men who face devastating choices. This is a strong move for removing government intrusion into a medical decision, but it isn't something to be giddy about. I thought the tone of celebration on the floor was a little too exuberant, but I think that can be forgiven in people who have fought and worked so hard to do what's right, which is to leave medical decisions to doctors and patients.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

“She also argued that removing abortion from the criminal code would mean that if a fetus died as the result of an assault on a woman there would be no prosecution. "Being assaulted and losing your baby is not a woman's choice," she said.”

What have they done when doctors elected not to perform late term abortions?Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

I will take them at their word, because it seems like common sense to me, and you will decide for yourself one way or another.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
