It lays the groundwork for late term abortions. Most of the pro-choice people I’ve heard from support allowing abortions up to the point of viability, so I’m curious to hear what they think about this. It seems to have also limited legal measures that make it possible to charge someone with a crime if they assault a woman and kill her unborn baby...Progress??tempo_n_groove said:

This isn't Facebook, people here realize that late term abortions are heartbreaking stories of women and men who face devastating choices. This is a strong move for removing government intrusion into a medical decision, but it isn't something to be giddy about. I thought the tone of celebration on the floor was a little too exuberant, but I think that can be forgiven in people who have fought and worked so hard to do what's right, which is to leave medical decisions to doctors and patients.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

So if a doctor decides that there is no “life or death” need and refuses to perform an abortion, that’s cool, right? That hasn’t played well with the “abortion on demand” crowd in the past...rgambs said:
