2017 stereo Gils Martin remix edition.  Sounds excellent, with more bass than the 60's cuts, I believe.

Came across this cool little punk six song, 7inch EP from a band I can find almost no info on other than seeing one copy of this for sale on Discogs and the revved Madonna cover on video posted below.  Anybody heard of this band?

Whats funny is that looks like an old Aston Martin and Nothing like a Trans Am...

    Excellent!  Thank you, HFD.

So they're from Fargo, ND.  Cool!

Went to my local used record store on the weekend and picked up a few old gems

    Beach Boys - Holland

    the Doors - self titled

Paul McCartney - Red Rose Speedway

Badfinger - wish you were here

Jethro Tull - Too old to Rock n Roll, to young to die

    Ten Years after - stonedhenge

    all good stuff

    Indeed, nice!

Just ordered Springsteen on broadway. £45 for the vinyl shipped. Got around £2 cashback as well. Still seems overpriced but Amazon were doing it for £59.99.

  • This week a bunch of on-line orders arrived:

Alice Cooper Goes to Hell (orange version)
    RHCP Mothers Milk
    Soundgarden Superunknown
    Queen Night At the Opera
    U2 Joshua Tree (gold version)

    * That's all for a while. Spending too much on records because I'm an idiot. Make a record coloured and I'm sprinting for my Visa.

I copped a really nice clean copy of this out of my own inventory.  I'm reading Pete Townshend's Who I Am autobiography and after reading about Empty Glass figured I needed to at least give it another listen- it had been a log, tong time. I still find some songs here a bit annoying (especially "Keep on Working"- I am Pete, I am!).  But then, some of these songs are just too good not to have here at home.  So this one got pulled from my inventory at the bookstore and now resides on a shelf at home!

Also just arrived from over- seas, this nifty 12" EP.  My wife hates the cover.  I love it!

The cover is definitely not to everyone’s taste!

    LOL.

I told her, "But look how totally happy that little guy is chopping into his own skull!"

She responded, "Well, I like the landscape painting [on the cleaver]."

    I hadn't noticed that before!

I get so immersed in SD when listening to vinyl.  But less so in other formats, on the radio, etc.  They are a band that you have to put on the vinyl and listen end to end.  Genius musicians.

Picked up some RSD stuff - including a Jerry Garcia "mostly acoustic" set for my Dad for Christmas.

These guys are fun.  How is the album?
I like it quite a bit.  Seeing them at the Met in Philly next month, they are the favorite of the person I am going with.  Had never listened to them and am listening to them a lot now.  Mellow but very good.

They put on a good show and there are people that are rabid followers!  Rail gets filled up rather early to see these guys.

    Enjoy the show.
