Gotcha. How in the hell can anyone support him?
You are asking me a question I cannot answer.  While not as a well-rounded piece of crap, people support Bill Clinton after he abused his power and had sexual relations with an intern (and a history of being very trumpish with women).

People are willing to ignore a lot to get the 1 or 2 things they care most about.  And for some it's abortion.  And it doesn't matter the actions really, they vote against the person who has the stated opinion against theirs.  And for some it's guns....same thing.  And then illegal immigration.  I truly believe those are the 3 things that give trump his supporters.  He got some other votes for a perceived mastery of the economy during the 1st election.....and the economy is going well so he might get those again.

Agree that people will vote on one or two issues and ignore the bad in the candidates.  I could almost accept it if they weren't so hypocritical with their morals and outrage when Dems are in power.

So many people put on complete blinders to everything when it comes to a candidate who is most unfriendly to abortion/choice.

After that, you have a huge block of white people who think all their taxes are going straight to black people who live luxuriously and refuse to work.  The illegal immigration also extends this group into "mexicans" who are taking all our "jobs" and sucking all our programs dry.

Add in a little seasoning of fear that a D president will go door to door and strip everyone of their guns along with other rights.

I think the Republican Party was being forced into a position to re-imagine its platform to lay off the religious/xenophobia/paranoia coalition and try to appeal to younger people (fiscally conservative, socially progressive), but Trump tripled down on it and gave it life and steroids (IMO it is going to be limited and if its not we are doomed.  You cant ignore facts, science, reason, and international decorum for a long period of time before things really start to erode).

I didn’t miss that line at all. When you make a comparison that ridiculous and then say “not to minimize....”, its like when someone makes a really sexist or racist joke and then says “just kidding”. Doesn’t really remove the comment.
Sometimes for people that have blinders on you have to make it as simple as possible for them to try to understand the issue. Sorry it wasn't something you can understand.

they measure those bad boys by waist size...

“Even more important than Donald Trump’s weight is how unhealthy he looks. I had the chance to see him in person. He has said on many occasions that he is on a fast-food diet of burgers and fried chicken and French fries, and he looked like it — unhealthy complexion, puffy, pasty skin, sweating a lot.

"He looked like Morgan Spurlock at the end of 'Super Size Me.'”

First you were saying liberals want everything free.  Then you starting talking about liberals wanting a specific type of freedom.  I'm not agreeing nor disagreeing with what you're saying, I'm just trying to understand what the point is you are trying to make.  Wanting everything free (which implies that worn out misunderstanding of the difference between socialism, communism and democratic socialism) and wanting freedom are not the same thing.

As for "Liberals want their form of freedom which is agree to their view or be gone. Only the extremists can't see that freedom means free to have different views", I would say, yeah maybe some think that  way,  just like some conservative think that way, and some libertarians think that way, and some ... etc.  Why the all or nothing/ black and white view point.  Why these sweeping generalizations.   I don't get it.

lol I didn't mean free. I was talking about free as in views. There are extremes on both sides, I agree. I'm generalizing in a sense because I see and hear the same things over and over from the liberal and far right sides. Only liberals choose to use a lot more mockery. That doesn't help their cause with trying to sway independents, it only hurts it. It seems a lot are coming to conclusions based on who and where they are at that time not on actual research of the issues choices for solutions.

If your argument is both are cheaters, and that is your only deciding factor, then your equation should read Trump = Brady. If we are going to determine superiority, then other factors need to be taken into account ;)
