Early set list thanks to “twolegsyield”

This was a question that I posed in another thread, but got no takers--when was the last time they omitted Black, Even Flow and Ledbetter (not to mention small town, Daughter, corduroy) from the same setlist?
I hold the pain, release me!

just got home and all i can say is wow, i need to get the bootleg of this.
The boys were in awesome form, very loud, my ears are still ringing.
Highlighs for me would be, seeing I got shit, indifference, immortality, three of my favourite songs live in concert.
I just wish they just wouldn't stop playing.

I have smashing pumpkins tomorrow night, hopefully they can compete with the high benchmark pearl jam have set

For me this was one of the most awesome PJ gigs I've been to, I've seen them at their worst and IMHO tonight, there best. It was nice to not hear the same songs, tonight was uplifting and made me smile and cry all at once:D

Great set list - at least one song from every album and a special focus on Yield tonight - Lowlight, Faithfull, GTF, DTE.

Also like the "revved" up version of PT. Had not seen it live since 2000.

All in all - a great show. After seeing 7 shows in 2006, including Boston I&II and Gorge I&II, I wasn't sure Wembley would live up - but it did. And I'm glad, because I scheduled a business trip to the Uk to coincide with this show. :)

The band was on fire and Ed seemed to have picked a lot songs where he got to wail away with his voice and on the guitar.

I had seen the Boom/Mike "back and forth" on Crazy Mary at Gorge II, but I thought this was just as good, if not better.

Two drawbacks - acoustics in Wembley Arena suck and the floor area close to the stage got a little scary. At one point, I was not in control of my movements - the crowd was pushing me (and everyone else) in all directions.

I last saw them at Wembley in 2000 - and this was a better, more fun show.

    Thanks.

just got home. tonight was amazing!!

Low Light, I Got Shit, Faithful, Immortality, Down, Present Tense, SOLAT, Porch, Inside Job, No More, Indifference.

All amazing songs i have always wished to hear. Was expecting corduroy, even flow, black, daughter etc but hapily surprised they werent played. The band new this show was special (1 off uk date with fan club floor), so the setlist had to match. As each song began i was soo incredibly happy. This was my third show, after reading 06 and paris 06, and had heard soo many new songs to me.

I'll will leave it at that now but want to say thanks to pearl jam for an incredible night, please dont wait too long before you come back again.

ps. this show was far to good to not be a bootleg, please say there is one out there soon.
  • Amazing.

It's taken 13 years, but I finally got to see Pearl Jam live and my god was it ever worth the wait! I still have goosebumps.

Absolutely fantastic set, a brilliantly unexpected selection including some of my favourite tunes out there. The band absolutely rocked and really seemed to enjoy themselves.

Have to give a special shout to Mini (at least I think that was her name, my sincerest apologies if I got it wrong) my new Finnish friend, who guided me through my virgin experience like a true pro!

A massive thanks to the band for making my first PJ concert as memorable as they could, but also a huge thanks to all the fans too, who managed to create one of the best atmosphere's I've seen at a live show. Top stuff!

Let's just hope it's not another 13 years until the next!

I've seen them in LA, MSG, United Center in Chicago and I was at Soldier Field in 95 and I have never had so much fun in the pit as I did since then. Saying it was "a little scary" is a total understatment. It was survival of the fittest, so fan beware if you just gotta be up front. It feels like I just got done with a tackle football game or a brutal rugby match. As I told one taller girl, any girl who survived tonight gets my utter respect. The pit kicked my ass and then some. It swayed and swelled and pushed and pulled (Push Me Fuckin Pull Me should've been played) There were numerous times where everyone lost their feet and it was like a pro football line pulling to the right or to the left. The setlist was so tits. They finally played an authentic kick ass show without the standard dozen mailing it in greatest hits. I had a sign to request Marker and they did it. I had one that said "Matt Cameron for Prime Minister" but after holding it up for a few seconds it got torn and thrown away from me. They were more on then they always are and it will definitely be a great boot that I'd more than recommend. The rest of these pit shows that anyone plans on being up front for better watch out. The Brits soccered up well, I can't wait for my Krauts! What a night!

My Dad and I were in the seats and I have to say it was a little more relaxing up there, I think, but that reminds me of my first PJ show, last year in Madrid.

What a show! Simply ace :D

What a night! My second (Reading '06 was the first) PJ gig even though I have been a fan since about 1993 (when I was the tender age of 14). They honestly blew me away and the atmosphere was great for Wembley Arena which can be a bit dry. State of Love and Trust, Crazy Mary and Keep on Rockin' in the Free World. What more can we ask for! Please come back again soon! But next time a note to the contingent of Portuguese fans -- leave the bloody flags at home!! ;)

What a great show. So nice seeing them play non of the songs they 'always' play. I had a list of 4 songs before that i wanted to see and 2 of them were i got shit and faithfull, so to see those 2 in a row was amazing. this was also the loudest I've seen pearl jam, looking forward to when my ears stop ringing.

    fuck me, that was superb.
just got back and had a shower and about to hit the sack...

one for the setlist geeks ;) when was the last time they played a show with NONE of Even Flow, Jeremy, Black, Corduroy, Betterman, Daughter, Small Town, RVM, Animal, Go...?

having said that, you can't win 'em all, overheard on the way to the tube tonight, girlfriend to boyfriend "...i was hoping for more of the older stuff... guess i don't really like Pearl Jam..."

*off to bed with ears ringing* :D

I second the flag comment! Some French dude waved a French flag in my face every 5 seconds seriously reducing my already restricted view until someone else kindly patted him on the head!
