You might be right, but what also might be right is the fact that emotions are very high as the US is becoming intensely polarized. McDonald has done a fantastic job of creating an 'us vs them' mentality within the US that is stretching boundaries of acceptability- if you don't mind me saying so... particularly on the right side of the equation.
