New Ticket Policy Changes Simplified

My hope is they would at least make some sort of commemorative ticket option available, they do like pushing merch so it's just another thing to sell. It's not a perfect replacement but at least it would be something. I have albums upon albums of ticket stubs..kramer73 said:

I just want to get side stage, it's nice being able to take advantage of the Even Flow bathroom break every show, I can race to the bathroom and make it back and only have to miss one song, plus it's nice to have a seat sometimes too, easier to keep track of stuff0

regular ticketmaster orders and even "fan verified: ticketmaster orders are regulars tickets. they can be resoldBRONDO said:So even the public sale Ticketmaster tickets will not be hard tickets??
ticketmaster is in the business of making a profit on every resold ticket they list on their site. it's really bad news still.
credit card entry is still the best solution to shut down scalpers. bruce has been doing it since 1999

1 u2 show goes bad in vancouver only. the rest of the tour went smoothly. fyiThirty Bills Unpaid said:I anticipate problems of some sort.
Somebody mentioned U2 and credit card entry. Their last show in Vancouver was a disaster. I don't say this lightly.
ga floor. scan your card and go in. paperless. it has worked for over 20 and i still have no idea why more bands don't do it
not every section has to be paperless but GA floor should absolutely be this way.

I still have no idea how BC Place messed that up so bad. Rogers Arena used paperless tickets for all the u2 fan club tickets on the tour before that tour and there were no problems.helplessdancer said:

You do have every right but if you have always been sitting together then essentially you have been a “flipper”. You might be doing it at cost to other 10C members but you have been flipping nonetheless. Personally that doesn’t bug me to much because I don’t mind shopping for tickets on the forum but not every 10C member is comfortable working these boards to hunt down tickets from strangers. I trust people on here but not everybody is willing to travel to a show with the hope that their 10C contact will be there at will call.PJNB said:
You missed my point. You said we are the "problem". Both my wife and I love the band. Both have every right to enter the draw and win tickets. Not sure how this is a "problem" at all.choop said:
You can both have one. But only the person with the low number should enter. They’ve all but confirmed to you that you’ll get in these shows.PJNB said:
My wife and I are both huge fans. Should only one of us have a membership and if so who should have it?choop said:
They are the problem. Look at how many people do this shit. It takes a ton of tickets out of the on sale circulation so they can move up a few rows.my2hands said:This definitely impacts 10c ticket buddies/groups0 -
Since they say, ios or android, it means no microsoft, or any other smart phone, but every smart phone allows you to click on a link and show a barcode, so it's almost certainly an app they are going to use.0

My suggestion to those without smartphones is to bring your whole desktop to the show. They can scan your ticket right off your Dell’s LCD monitor.0

Seattle Sounders have done this. Works like a charm. It really makes very little difference. Change is hard sometimes, but people are overthinking this.KC138045 said:I have season tickets for The Bluejackets and its mobile entry for games. I just transfer the tickets to my apple wallet before each game. It's works great! If anyone uses apple or Samsung pay it's essentially the same.
A lot of professional sports teams are taking this route. It makes sense for cost and efficiency. Saves paper. I've even heard some teams charge an extra fee if you want paper tickets.0 -
The email is clear as day. People are trying to make it more difficult and trying to think of X-Y-Z scenarios. Buy the pair of tickets you need, show up at the show, have them scan your phone, drink some beer, puke on the person in front of you, and enjoy the show.KC138045 said:No offense but I'm really surprised by the amount of confusion here. It's laid out very well in the email in my opinion. The only big change is how the tickets are distributed and I love how they're doing it because it hurts the scalpers who have one or multiple 10c accounts
It's not difficult to understand unless you're trying to make it be.0 -
I am starting to care less and less about this band and its fans.....0

what if I bring in my beeper and show them a page from the 10c phone number? What if I have a wooden leg and an anti phone scanning device in my left shoe? What happens if I goto the show, drop my phone down a sewer drain, and click my heels 3 times?BS44325 said:My suggestion to those without smartphones is to bring your whole desktop to the show. I just would like to ask those that think double membership in one household is unfair, who do you go to the show with? Have you never had a ticket buddy before or do you go solo to every show? Just because I live with somebody who is just as big of a fan as I am why does that mean we should only use one account?0

Is it safe to say that our fanclub tix will be better than 2016? Must've been a few who dropped out between then and now

If you have a higher number like me (512XXX) I fully expect my seats to get worse since they are having access to more seats and they said that they will have more that are further back.CantKeepmedown said:Is it safe to say that our fanclub tix will be better than 2016? technically, if you are planning on going together, yes. you need one pair. i dont blame you for doubling your chances because the old way made it easy... but its a bit unfair on the system. i bring my wife, and i have a few non member friends who attend with me. 1 entry.PJNB said:I just would like to ask those that think double membership in one household is unfair, who do you go to the show with? dont think people werent abusing it either. here and especially in the facebook groups, you would see so many people trading pairs of ga for show x for a pair of ga for show y.
it was a system prone to abuse and apparently it was bad and noticeable enough for them to try to close the hole a bit. how easy was it for me to sign my wife up for a member number of 600xxx, use hers to go for ga tix, use my decent seniority to land reserved, and extras can be traded for awesome seats at other shows. my brother and i look similar and i could sign him up and use his license to pick tickets up and so forth. link up 4+ people who can manage multiple 10c accounts and you have a cartel.Post edited by MayDay10 on0 -
