So my wife and I are going to Fenway. We are both members and both should be able to try for tickets. Now if we both win for the same show we can not sit together it looks like or we have to sell one of our tickets each and just tell the person that ticket isn't really theirs but the other extra is. Makes things very hard for people looking to do multiple shows and have partners that are just as big as fans as they are.
Yep my past strategy is out the window and my 10C # sucks (and I don't see any mention of a lotto).
Hard to pull in Fenway for sure... but drawing for GAs on the other dates is a little more forgiving... still a big hassle though...

with all these... they should have gone the route of only the credit card entry for non 10C tickets

I understand the reason why you can only sell one of your tickets to your friend.  My only concern is that if Bob and I both want to go to the same concert and (like in the past) we both decide to take our chances in the lottery which increases our odds of winning a pair at least.  We could end up with 2 pairs to the same show and us being seated separate with random guests sitting with us.  Seems like this could cause problems.

So the question is how much faith do we put in the sentence where they think they can accommodate "most if not all requests".

Sounds as if they are getting a larger than normal allotment of tix available for 10 club (by avoiding Live Nation venues I assume) so maybe only one of you would need to enter. Guess we'll have a better idea when the odds page of lottery goes live.

so if my buddy and I win ga tickets and only need 2 of the 4 tickets we can sell the other 2 via singles?  correct?

GA looks to be safe on this. You can each sell your +1's and use your own phones to get in. Reserved seating is a lot harder to do this now with the new rule of only trading one ticket.

You can sell you +1's but 1 ticket has to be tied to you. Mcgruff and his buddy would each individually need to sell 1 ticket to the other party.

What about this one?  In the past, I thought we could sell them (after picking them up) for face value.

    - Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in cancellation of ticket purchase and possible loss of membership.

That won’t change for your +1 but you can’t sell a pair. Just get what you need and not multiple pairs, easy!
If this means that whatever you put in for you're likely to get (which the email hints at), then that's cool.

If it doesn't though, it kind of sucks. My gf and I are both 10c members. Normally we could both put in for the same show, giving us pretty good odds of ending up with tickets, and if we both happened to win we could just resell the extra pair at face or give to friends. Now it seems we can't both put in for that show, because if we both win then the second pair is not re-sellable.

You can totally both put in for the show. If you both win, then you both just find +1s, and, assuming you're talking seats and not GA, you just switch seats with one of your +1s so you can sit together. So you can find another couple and they can sit together as well. You just won't all be in your assigned seats, but that makes no difference.

Correct. I don't think the 10c realizes how many families/group of fans will be impacted negatively by this change :(

You can "transfer" to whomever you want though, can you not, so in theory you can sell it .
Enjoy difference. Without it we're all boring!

You could in theory still get rid of an extra set of tickets, although a little more complicated maybe.

Could you not provide 2 people the guest tickets from both sets and then you and your seat buddy sit in the good seats and the two guests sit in the crappier set of seats.

Not ideal and maybe a little complicated but it could work, except for GA perhaps where you will probably have a bracelet.

That would work, but everyone would not be sitting in the actual seat that they have a ticket for on their phone (one of the guests would be in the member's seat for the crappier pair and vice versa for the better pair).  Not sure if that would be a problem inside the venue.

Say my wife and I both put in for Wrigley 1 GA. We would have to cross our fingers that one or both of us bucks the odds and gets the GA.

Because how can we do reserved as a backup like in the past? What if my wife scores GA and I miss GA, but I get reserved as a backup? We're going to be eating $200+ worth of tickets. But if you don't put in for reserved as a backup - the odds are that 2 people with around a 10% chance at GA will both fail, and then you miss the show all-together.

I guess I don't understand why they won't allow us to resell a pair, as long as we show up to the venue and sell it at face value. What harm does that do?

If its not a strange you could always take their phone and log them into your ticketmaster account, assuming this is some one you trust! Or you all enter together and if they print seat receipts at the gate then you just swap them out.

Nobody is going to police you once you're in the venue or escort you to your actual seat. You can sit with your friend and the two extra people who got your individual spares can sit together.

Seeing how this is a pretty big change from the past and there will be 40K+ at each of these shows, would be nice if 10c would go into a little more detail about this new procedure prior to the lottery.
