What more detail are people looking for? I think it's pretty clear.
True, but there are other factors. When we scan our phones, do we get a receipt to hold on to then Showing our seats? Or do we have to keep showing our phone every time we leave our seat, or GA? I'm sure that will kill a lot of peoples batteries. What happens then if you phone dies once in the concourse? Are you SOL?
U2 had the tickets on your phone and when you went in your ticket printed. Maybe that the way it will work at the stadiums
regardless they are doing their best at a major problem with the ticket world. Kudos to them for trying to get all of us into the shows the best they can.

I dig this new system. I was never a fan of the multiple memberships per household. This should get people to think twice about double/triple entering for the same draw.
Say my wife and I both put in for Wrigley 1 GA. We would have to cross our fingers that one or both of us bucks the odds and gets the GA.
Because how can we do reserved as a backup like in the past? What if my wife scores GA and I miss GA, but I get reserved as a backup? We're going to be eating $200+ worth of tickets. But if you don't put in for reserved as a backup - the odds are that 2 people with around a 10% chance at GA will both fail, and then you miss the show all-together.
I guess I don't understand why they won't allow us to resell a pair, as long as we show up to the venue and sell it at face value. What harm does that do?
That is one hitch, eh? I'm thinking you could swap phones with someone and share login info to get around this, assuming you trust them and they trust you. Not sure how 10C would take this, but to me it seems fair. It's not like you're going to swap phones with a scalper or anything.
The last show I was at was Fenway and I got checked ever time I walked onto the field and almost every time into our section. If I didn't show my ticket I wouldn't have been able to get back in. So swapping phones is out because you probably won't be near the other set of tickets/seats. The only possible "out" is giving someone your login.
My wife and I both put in for tickets. If we both win the same a night we find 10C friends who didn't get tickets and give the tickets to them OR trade for a night we didn't win tickets for. But sometimes it is a friend of a friend and giving logins isn't really something I want to do.
Yes, that's what I mean, Swap phones and trade login info. It will totally work.

You could in theory still get rid of an extra set of tickets, although a little more complicated maybe.
Could you not provide 2 people the guest tickets from both sets and then you and your seat buddy sit in the good seats and the two guests sit in the crappier set of seats.
Not ideal and maybe a little complicated but it could work, except for GA perhaps where you will probably have a bracelet.
That would work, but everyone would not be sitting in the actual seat that they have a ticket for on their phone (one of the guests would be in the member's seat for the crappier pair and vice versa for the better pair). Not sure if that would be a problem inside the venue.
Agreed, not sure how much they will be checking once you head to your seats.
Well they arent going to just allow you to stroll down to the Pit...
As i mentioned further up the PIT /GA is not going to work for sure.
Right. The venue would have to be crazy to agree to scanning phone codes AND to compare photo IDs to the info on the phone for every single ticket holder, both outside and inside the venue. That just isn't practical.

the cutoff date for signing up was yesterday 01.23.2018, you just have to have a Ticketmaster account which is simple to register for, this is what I received on screen after signing up

I don't think it's anymore work than concerts that are ticketless and they look at your CC and ID when you enter. Those types of shows are more and more common.
The reason I'm thinking they will do this is - how the heck are they going to enforce the actual fan member using the tickets otherwise? People could enter their buddy's phone number (or the phone number of the guy they sell the tickets to) in to the system otherwise, and thus easily transfer/sell the tickets that way.
Nobody is going to police you once you're in the venue or escort you to your actual seat. You can sit with your friend and the two extra people who got your individual spares can sit together.
As long as one pair isn't GA, and the other pair reserved.
I've had my tickets checked plenty of times at ball games and concerts.
If you have a lower level (field or lower bowl) ticket then ushers will check throughout the event to make sure you're not trying to sneak into better seats than the
ones you are assigned. And sometimes someone mistakes row 17 for row 18 or
seat 5 for seat 15 and you have to show your ticket to sort it all out.

So I don’t get it. Maybe someone already mentioned this, but I’m not sure. You get lottery draw for presale code, then you have to use the presale code to get tics... Will they give out equal number of presale codes as available tics, or could you get screwed by not getting tics even If your name was drawn for presale code. Also would it mean that anyone that gets the code can pick GA or seats at the presale, and seats would then become first served with the code. How does that correspond to seats by seniority. Am I missing something??

There's no presale code. You enter the lottery and if you win the lottery, 2 tickets are then in your name.

You'll see when the lottery starts. Your #1 choice could be Seattle Night one GA, or Seattle Night one reserved. You can only win GA if you request them.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

There is a presale code for Ticketmaster, which is AFTER the ten club drawing.
Throgh my my experience with TM- codes and seats are NOT an equal number.

Correct. The presale code has to do with Ticketmaster verified presale.
It does seem a little odd that in order to get Fanclub tickets you must have a smartphone. I realize they are fairly ubiquitous, but this definitely hurts a few folks ability to use their fanclub option which kinda sucks.

Based on my past experience, and I'm assuming it will stay this way, you enter your choices in order for the lottery (e.g. GA first, reserved second). They then draw names for the lottery, starting with the GA. If you win GA, your CC is charged and seniority means nothing. If you win reserved, your cc is charged and you will then be assigned seats based on seniority (lower numbers = better seats).
Hopefully this helps (and somebody please correct me if I've misspoken).

Ok my bad, I assumed he/she was talking about fan club tickets.
If he/she does get a presale code from verified ticketmaster fan thing, GA will not be available. They said the entire GA sections are reserved for the fan club. They will likely be mediocre seats, as Ten Club seems to have all the best seats reserved for it's members.

K. Thanks everyone. Just FYI... I tried to give my U2 TM fanclub presale code to someone to use since I couldn’t go. He tried to use it and it didn’t work, then I tried to use it and then send him printed tics, it didn’t work. They blocked me from using the code in my account. I didn’t try to sell the code, just trying to hook up a friend. Beware.
