The major news today of that White House visit by the SB Champion PATRIOTS was the Press Conference interruption by GRONK. I mean how can this guy be let loose by the Secret Service in the WH to interrupt the conference? I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't looking to hump something.....Our national security in in serious trouble.

The picture of his cabinet is hilarious. It reminds me of a Where's Waldo picture featuring Ben Carson and Nikki Haley..How about ol' crazy eyes? I swear, it's easy to picture the rest of these guys in Klan uniforms. He seriously picked the worst possible people for every position.

To be fair, she's only half crazy eye'd.
She scares me... All of them do. Especially when it comes to Human Rights and the Environment. It's like they all watched The Purge and decided that's the America they want. They're just so out of touch with humanity and only concerned with profit and make everything Us vs. Them. Our political system is a sham. This is definitely a low point in our History. I do like my Governor and think he would make a great President, so there is some hope..

Dems failed in Kansas and are now failing in Georgia. Great job Karen Handel! It is now Hollywood vs. Georgia on June 20th.

This guy can't be anything but a bully or divisive, can he? All he does is bad mouth people that doesn't like him. It's always a "Vs." situation with him.

I'm pretty sure it was the democrats who tried to make the special election about Trump...they tried to nationalize it in order to get over 50%...and lost...bigly.

He only got a slightly larger share of the vote then Hillary and the sum of the republican vote topped 50%. Considering the amount of money that was spent on a special election that is a big defeat. He needed to win it yesterday while republicans were divided..not wait until a head to head in June.

In a resoundingly red district. That the republicans had to fight as hard as they did for both of those seats in overwhelming red states and districts shows the drag effect trump is having. It's only going to get worse between now and 11/18, particularly as more Russia ties information becomes public. And it will. Untenable. Also when nothing has changed for the average joe in middle America.

    Who's your governor? What state?
Terry McAuliffe of VA. He's been big on fixing Mental Health and fighting some of the immigration polocies. I want to do a little more research, but he's trustworthy and has a pretty cool vibe about him.

It was not resoundingly red in the general election and the republicans spent hardly any money comparatively and didn't "fight" until the last minute. The argument can actually be made that Trump's last minute tweets got the GOP base out the polls. You keep repeating it but other then unreliable polls that have already been proven wrong there is just zero evidence of drag. Zero. Your argument for the time being? Untenable.

It's a silly argument. Republicans who voted for Trump were not inclined to vote for HRC and they probably would not change their vote, at this point. It's all about turnout.. As it always is. If both sides turn out, red remains red, blue goes blue. Not trying to be trite, but it's really about enthusiasm.

Very true and the idea that there is this new energized groundswell of anti-trump enthusiam that will overwhelm current republican districts is just ridiculous. The echo chamber of the left is so completely engulfed by Trump hatred that they just feel they will win anywhere. They are completely avoiding the hard work of rebuilding the party, generating a platform, and recruiting candidates that are good fits for their districts in order to win.

I disagree with this. Of course the DNC is going to drum up enthusiasm.. declare they have a chance to win, extol close calls, etc. It would be political malpractice not to do so.

    When do you win?
The 25-37% dyed in the wool trumpsters will never see the light of day. It's the 13-25% of independents and Reagan democrats who will flip when they finally see Trump for who he is, a fraud and a traitor. Me? I'm not running for anything. When do you win al all costs? It's the disenfranchised who become disillusioned. Like coal jobs are coming back slowly no with manufacturing. Please.

I think people from both sides are putting too much into Georgia. I find the Kansas election to be a stronger indicator of where the country is moving. The Georgia race with EIGHTEEN candidates on the ballot makes it impossible to truly gauge enthusiasm. While the Democrats were following a common message, Republicans were split several ways. That greatly impacts excitement and turnout in a one on one. What Kansas shows is that while there seems to be momentum with Democrats. Sure they lost the election, but the needle moved quite a bit in their favor in just 5 or 6 months. So while that's good news for them, it's hard to keep momentum another year and a half until the midterms. Luckily Trump is insanely good at putting blood in the water for the D base.

It's only going to get worse between now and 11/18, particularly as more Russia ties information becomes public. And it will. Untenable. Also when nothing has changed for the average joe in middle America.
Untenable.

Please.
You don't get it. They already know he's a "fraud". They voted for a "fraud". They don't care! They will take a genuine "fraud" over any phony politician any day. If the GOP loses the house in 2018, which based on historical norms they should, it will be because the congress is a do-nothing congress that Trump doesn't particularly care for himself. The dems need to run against that congress and not Trump. Focusing on him is a mistake. He distracts democrats, drives them further to the left, and makes them appear insane. Centrist voters will not flock to the dems under that scenerio. Untenable.

Lost barely would be more accurate.

They didn't vote for a fraud. They voted for an outsider and a not a politician. What they're learning, slowly, is that he doesn't have a clue, has no principles and could give two fucks about people like them. As more of his ties to Russia, wasting of tax payer dollars and promises unkept become known, GOP candidates will be guilty by association and they'll try to distance themselves. It's not going to be a 90%-10% sea change, more like 52%-48% for progressive or conservative Dems. The current crop of repubs are joined at the hip with Trump and some or all of his positions. Positions that are untenable in MAGA. Like the ACA. Or driving up oil prices due to reckless international policies or lack thereof. Trump didn't have a landslide electoral college victory as you believe and Hillary still garnered almost 3 million more popular votes, votes that will matter in congressional districts.

Those 3 million votes come from congressional districts the democrats already win and those who voted for Trump know he "doesn't have a clue". Again they don't care...they will give him a chance to learn. They would choose that over a broken political elite that claims to "have a clue" and because of their assuredness has zero capacity to learn.
