    As a 49ers fan I am not sure what to think of the Lynch hiring as GM. It seems to be Jed strikes again but I want to put my faith in Shanahan. Shanahan backed him so maybe it will work. Or they just moved below the Browns as the worst run franchise in football.

    Longtime NFL scout Tom Cable is running the draft. Lynch doesn't have control of the 53 man roster. Capologist guy has to approve all contracts. If anything it seems the 49ers hired someone as GM just to be a buddy to Shanahan as they felt they had to have a GM. This is a lot of faith to put into a first time head coach.

    I wonder what round draft pick the 49ers will have to surrender for Jed speaking as if they already hired Shanahan. It's no secret but you can't be in press conferences already talking as though contract terms were reached. It's been known for the last couple weeks since McDaniels withdrew Shanahan was getting hired but they crossed the tampering line.

    So, any Super Bowl predictions? Two things scare me about this game, the Pats' DBs are small and I see lots of yards after the catch for Atlanta's receivers and the Pats historically don't play well after what amounts to a bye week. They come out flat and in big games that's fatal. It could be a blow out but not for the Pats. Hope I'm wrong.
