I'm heading to the Tower Friday from Harrisburg, is there a good bar to stop at and grab a bite to eat on Route 3?

Didn't see any dive bars pop up on the web search...
    How about:
The Ale House - lots of craft beers and the Tossed Salad is a specialty there. ;)
    Casey's Public House
    3 West Restaurant & Bar

Or you can come to Cherry Hill and pick Mrs FMe and I up and I will give you a bottle to drink in the car.

depends how far you want to be from the venue. There is a JD McGillicuddy's about a mile from the venue on Route 3 (West Chester Pike). Up the road further on Route 3 is Barneby's right by the Blue Route (476) entrance on the border of Havertown/Broomall although the entrance is on a little side street off of Route 3. There is a Casey's further up Route 3 in Newtown Square. those 3 are probably are the most public non-local dive bar places. Tons of little bars in Havertown if you wanted to venture off of Route 3.

Thanks, street viewed that McGillicuddy's and that looks like the place we stopped at before a Vedder show.

F'Me, I'd love to, but I'm staying out of Jersey....unless post game gets nuts. Fluff me some pillows

Be sure to park somewhere you can leave your rig if so....and you can sleep in the Den or my office on air mattresses. I could always bring you back to your car on Saturday AM. Pig gets the guest room so his pillows stay unfluffed.

Just go to The Waterford. Yes, it's a shit hole, but if those walls could talk....

Food's not bad, beer is cold. Problem is if you get the wrong toothless waitress. Anyway, yeah, Waterford it is for me.

Will be there. I assume that will be packed, so I'm eating before I get there

Yeah, last show I saw there I think was MMJ. I made sure to get there around 6 to beat most of the crowd and get a bite. Also the food took a while and I had to correct our dimwitted waitress on the amount of our bill.

FUCK - I didn't even take into account the SEPTA strike; so, yeah, everyone be aware of that.

I looked at black car service from center city to The Tower and the website quoted me $2,500!
Will call a few places later just to see if that site is on fucking crack. I would rather not drink and just drive. (Or, honestly, tell Mrs FMe she cannot drink and has to drive. hehe)
Uber will be available, just might take a bit. Hopefully going Black/SUV will find less people waiting.
    Fuck Strikes.

Yeah, worst case we'll drive in, park at the Sears (is that still there?) or Turf Club parking lot, and the wife will drive me back.

Sears and Turf Club are no longer there. not sure if it was torn down and something else is there or not but i know the Turf Club is closed. get there earlier enough probably can find parking in neighborhood.
