Just pre-ordered the white vinyl on Bullmoose. What are the odds they fulfill the order? How many of these sites take the order only to cancel next month?

Very good odds. Bullmoose is reliable when it comes to pre-orders.

Love radiohead, and will always respect their musicianship and willingness to make whatever music they feel like. This album is not garbage...but my initial reaction to it is that it's extremely boring and forgettable. Ill give it some more plays cause they deserve it, and im sure one listen isn't enough to fully absorb the album, but i have a feeling i won't be coming back to this one much after this month is over. Oh well. I guess i was expecting in rainbows 2.0 and got king of limbs 2.0 instead.

I see this album as pulling the threads of Amnesiac and Kid A more than TKOL.

I think this is far superior to TKOL but I kind of agree. I don't know what frame of mind I will need to be to listen to this down the road. I thought Decks Dark and Desert Island Disk were stand outs and True Love Waits is very nicely done (but i prefer the original). I guess will see how much I go back to this.

There are moments of awesomeness and maybe their best since Hail to the Thief, but it's a slog to get through. Feels much longer than the 45 or so minutes. Really into it through the first 3/4 then it just kind of hits a wall. The last few songs aren't stinkers by any stretch, but it's not keeping my attention.

I know I'm going to take heat for this but, I don't really care so here's the truth...Radiohead continue to release mind-blowing, innovative music like no-one on this planet can do! PJ is not in their stratosphere studio-wise and that's a shame because they have the talent but, they just don't really go for it anymore. Live it's a draw, so at this point after following both bands for the last 25 years I have finally come to the conclusion that Radiohead has finally surpassed PJ in my mind as the best band in the world!

They operate on a different plain than everyone else. Much like Floyd. No one can doubt their genius.

When I don't "get" radiohead i always assume it's me more than them if that makes sense

lol they shouldn't even be compared. PJ is great but they aren't a fraction as original or creative as Radiohead. Not to mention Radiohead takes more risks musically than Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam is a great American rock band, don't give them too much credit.

I see a lot of people saying they didn't want the KOL Part II, and that's what they got. Sure, it's quieter like that one, but there's absolutely nothing about that album here...it's extremely melodic, and more of a cousin to In Rainbows in that it's a band effort. The Bends, OK Computer, and In Rainbows are still up there for me, but this is wedging itself in right after those, and that's no small accomplishment 23 years into their music. Great album.

This is true. Radiohead is genius. Pearl Jam is great. Working in a university math department, there's a lot of great people up there I'd rather hang out with than the few geniuses. But I don't get the two confused.

  • The first time i listened to this album, I was thinking "this is ALL we get after the long wait"......about 5 listens later, I am on board and this is a great record!! Decks Dark is a jam! Desert Island Disk is great too " You Know what i mean" Damn its infectious. Love when an album grows on you. :-)

I don't know if I'm putting it at AOTY, just yet, but the more I listen to it, the more it blows me away. That's the type of album that has longevity for me. I like a record that makes you work a little. I was blasting this in my car and was amazed by the superior beauty of the mix and sound. My car stereo sucks, yet it still shined.

I made the mistake of giving this album a first listen while driving to work with a distracted mind. I called it boring and forgettable. I might still feel that way over time, but it definitely seemed way more interesting to me when i played it in a dark room laying in bed last night. Will give it some more time, it might be clicking.
