What burden has he proposed putting on small business?rr165892 said:Pipe dream Gambsy.Come back down to earth. You have been drinking the utopian kool aid.
Jason is correct.
Kids are not going to pull sanders thru.My kids are20,22,24.
2 are republican by choice and one is like me an Independent. The young kids I know not just mine would all be for reform of student debt as a main issue but they are still all budding young capitalists. They are hard working forward thinking young adults.who want to make money and not share it with those who may not have the same drive and ambition.Dont work as hard or skate by with money bags Uncle Sam floating the entitlements.
Btw,sanders scares a lot of us with his very vague hands off foreign policy approach. And the tax burden he would put on the small businesses in this country will have the opposite affect of what he thinks he will achieve.
I'll answer that for you. None. You are pulling that out of nowhere.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

The economy, and everyone's wallets, always do better under liberals than cons.
You have bought into a fantasy that was created to get you to vote against your own interests.
If you want lower taxes you are voting for the wrong party, it isn't until the upper tiers pay their fair share that we will stop shouldering the burden in the middle class.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
It won't be long before the GOP has to admit that their policies don't work. You can't cut taxes to prosperity...doesn't work.
Bush cut taxes with the same notion that revenues would increase...they didn't. It created massive deficits that Obama inherited and now the GOP is blaming him for the deficit increasing. They also blamed Obama for raising taxes (which was part of the Bush tax cuts...that the cuts would expire) because he didn't extend the tax cuts.
Imagine how much larger our deficit would be if he would have agreed to extend those cuts.

I didn't have a problem with letting the Bush cuts expire.I also don't have a problem paying a little more than my fair share that's how we make things go around I get that.
My issue is that the govt can't properly work with the tax revenue they already have to work with.Ridiculous regulations and archaic codes. If they quit wasting so much on the bullshit.Stop the wasteful and basically un checked entitlements. The huge amount of abuse of the system.Maybe hold individuals accountable for their own actions(that's a concept huh?)Why should I pay more so some lazy fuck who dosent want to work and sits home having more kids, taxing the system, using drugs, abusing food stamps just to get more on the monthly stipend, but I'm the bad guy.Ive never asked for anything from anybody.I expect individuals to be accountable for their own actions.
On top of all that,I read the old mans plans. Not only will my personal taxes go way up,but my costs per employee will as well along with a major bite in the ass from my corporate taxes.Gern like you,I've never needed anyone to tell me to treat my employees with respect and pay them proper.

You again make reference to this "plan" that doesn't exist. Sanders has made it pretty clear that he is going to hit the wealthy for more tax. At least he's honest...the GOP talks about spending a trillion dollars on military with tax cuts. We already know that won't work.rr165892 said:I didn't have a problem with letting the Bush cuts expire.I also don't have a problem paying a little more than my fair share that's how we make things go around I get that.

If this country is going to survive it is going to have to start getting more money from the wealthy. If you haven't figured that out yet you have your head in the sand.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Gern, your successful in buisness I'm assuming by what you've mentioned.(Which I hope is the case btw )
Give me a percentage of your income you would be willing to give up for these changes if sanders had his way.Would another 12% do it,maybe 15% more?
When that dosent cover the spending free for all and they come for a little more will it be an additional 20%?
Your a numbers guy.You do this for a living.would you tell your clients that rely on you for tax savings and strategies to suck it up and pay more?Your good with much higher capital gains? Your clients are good with a reworking and increase in the death tax?0 -
Gambsy, when the lazy shit birds keep wanting more, more. And the govt gives it to them when does that stop?0

Let's say I pay 5% of my income toward health insurance. If we went to universal care I could easily pay 5% more in income tax and be break even.rr165892 said:Gern, your successful in buisness I'm assuming by what you've mentioned.(Which I hope is the case btw )

I'm not real sure what "way" you are even talking about actually. But the above is an example.
Beyond that I would get rid of the lower capital gains rates and the qualified dividends rates.
I have a client that had around $60K in dividends that paid zero tax. That's messed up.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I understand being mad at the shitbirds, I don't understand why you care more about them crapping on the floor when there are folks crapping in gold toilets.
It's numbers, who is costing the taxpayers more? The fact of the matter is that the .01% and the shitty corporations are costing you much more.
Defense contractors are putting soldiers out of work by the thousands and bilking the government for services they aren't providing, stores like Wal-Mart are paying so little to so many, they are a government subsidized business, TRILLIONS in tax havens...the list goes on and on.

I agree, rr, I'm against stealing and cheating but the system is set up by the super wealthy to allow the super wealthy to get away from the greatest amount of theft of all while the poor, especially the minority poor, are far more often imprisoned for stealing a little. That doesn't mean I think stealing is OK, it just means I believe we need to look at the gross inequity of the system. And the same is true for subsidies- the greatest amount go to the wealthiest. Maintain you stance against theft and cheating but perhaps consider the gross inequity in who and what is allowed to get a pass.rr165892 said:Abusers of the system from all monetary backgrounds are who I can't stand.I hate cheats and thieves.I don't live like that and I don't want to subsidize those who play that way.I have my issues w big buisness,Espescially big Pharma and Big Coal.Any industry that can continue to fuck those who prop it up.

RR I've had a job non stop since I was 13. And also get frustrated at those that do t work and get money. But then think of the trillions of dollars we piss away on war and realize some waste on poor isn't our biggest problem. And some social programs do work. Welfare fraud is nothing compared to Medicare fraud which is committed by wealthy doctors.
I am willing to accept that people will commit fraud. That's part of life. The theory behind welfare and the benefits it provides to children is inarguable.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Retreating Clinton Campaign Torches Iowa Town To Slow Advance Of Sanders Volunteers
HUMBOLDT, IA—After making sure to douse every home, farm, and business located in the municipality with gasoline, retreating Clinton campaign staffers reportedly set the central Iowa town of Humboldt ablaze Friday to stem the advance of Bernie Sanders volunteers. “Once we received word the Sanders campaign had begun canvassing in nearby Fort Dodge, we only had a matter of hours to burn everything to the ground,” said communications director Jennifer Palmieri, who tossed a lit torch through the window of the town’s hardware store before rushing over to help a group of Hillary for America workers erect a roadblock made of dead livestock to prevent all entrance to and exit from the city. “With so little time left before voting day, we simply can’t allow them to establish a foothold in this part of the state. Besides, you can’t convince anyone to caucus for Bernie Sanders if the civilian population is gone and all that’s left is smoldering rubble.” At press time, Clinton campaign staffers were spotted rigging a nearby bridge with C-4 as they hastily retreated to Algona.
