Brian in all fairness,I was having a hard time watching that debate last night.I could say the same for the Juvenile Rep debate last week.

This election cycle is sooooooo fucking weak for decent candidates.
Maybe Bloomburg will run,that may be something.

When I get a chance (or maybe someone else here has the time) I'll try to isolate the clip from the debate where he explains how Sanders' concept works. It made a lot of sense to me.

It makes complete sense to just use the current Medicare system.

People forget that there would be massive savings from eliminating the insurance company profits, advertising, etc. that is already built into our healthcare costs.

As a Buisness owner I can tell you,I wouldn't hire more people.Not only that but others in my position will clear out even more employees so we don't have to pay all the "mandatory" tax increases.Also this will add to the already long line of folks abusing and sucking on the govt teet.

Question for you, would you be in favor of decoupling health care from employers? So you would have nothing to do with funding via direct costs to your business? And really asking. Not leading. Wondering if your costs would go down if we did have a true single payer system. So added taxes would be more spread to everyone versus the small business see owner footing big portion of the bill like your doing now. Thoughts.

PS my blood pressure also goes up when I hear politicians offering things that need to be paid for. Still though take that over a Ayatollah Cruz

I'd be more open to that then what he is asking for.I already pay 15 employees health care in full.Great coverage.Costs me a shit load.But I can tell you it's less then if all other areas of my income both buisness and personal get stepped all over.
And Cal I feel I can comment on wages because not one single employee of mine makes less then 15$ an hour

BS....taxes are on profits. If you make money you pay tax. If an employee isn't making you money you get rid of them regardless of what the tax rate is.

I'm a business owner as well....I'm also an advisor to about 100 other businesses. You clearly don't know what you are talking about.

How much of that cost is insurance company profit? How much is for insurance company advertising? Or hospital advertising? There is no way your costs wouldn't go down under single payer.

Edit: Not to mention that when employers that DO NOT provide insurance would most likely pay a higher medicare tax your costs drop even more.

Not sure anything I say will convince you, rr, but Sanders certainly does have a chance of winning. Look at how the polls put him ahead of Clinton. And obviously, any dem will win this year since the rep candidates are a mess.

As messy as the right is they would trounce sanders.Hillary is the only dem hope.And that's scary.
