2016 PJ25 Tour Rumors

I don't mean to be the voice of reason but just because they did a "PJ20" event doesn't mean they will do another in the form of "PJ25" or 26 or 28 or 30 or 35.themessenger said:
I agree...if there is a fall leg or a PJ25 destination weekend in Seattle as rumored, then I hope they at least hint towards such when they announce these Springs shows. I probably would have to choose one leg or another and it would be nice to have some information out there prior to making a financial and time commitment. Granted this is a good problem to have!ckravitz said:If there will be a second leg or a destination show, is it likely that they will announce that before the first leg onsales? I'm just wondering because when Wrigley was announced they also mentioned that there would be fall dates and I'm guessing they did that so people didn't feel like they had to spend tons of money to fly in from all over. With Wrigley that wouldn't have mattered because folks were going to that regardless of distance, but if Texas is going to get a show on leg two, some of those folks won't have to travel to Florida, Tenn, etc. Anyhow, it's all still unofficial but just wondering.
If they tour every year for the next 25 I am sure that PJ fans wil ascribe a year number to every tour and/or gig even if PJ never does again.

I don't see how New England could get shut out from this leg, especially if New York gets up to 4 dates.96 Hartford

From a fan perspective, there's no real advantage to knowing in advance. From a band / management perspective, there's no disadvantage to knowing in advance.shep said:
agreed.my2hands said:nor trying to be a dick, but people really are upset that dates have leaked? it's a rock band tour leg, who gives a shit? seems silly to me
My other question being: all those who are "irked" about someone leaking dates... did y'all already know the potential dates/tour plan? Cause if you had inside information already, you have no right to say shit all one way or the other...0 -
I'm just saying it's been rumored, not that I believe it's necessary. Although I would love if they did another weekend type similar in nature to PJ20.Bentleyspop said:

about the Ft Lauderdale/Miami shows being so close together... if you haven't played South Florida in 15-20 years why not play 2 shows down there?0
-
I'd love two shows down here, especially Miami. But they did play West Palm in 2000, 2003 and 2008.my2hands said:about the Ft Lauderdale/Miami shows being so close together... if you haven't played South Florida in 15-20 years why not play 2 shows down there?

Last 2 South Florida shows were both West Palm and were in 03 and 08.Tampa had the same stops and Orlando/Kissimmee Vote for change show in 05.0
-
They play other cities 2x nights in a row... A huge city like Miami, playing both FTL and MIA gives them a chance to essentially play the same market 2 nights but with maybe a slightly different crowd/environmentmy2hands said:about the Ft Lauderdale/Miami shows being so close together... if you haven't played South Florida in 15-20 years why not play 2 shows down there?

It seems odd given that they are only about 40 miles apart, but that certainly isn't unprecedented. They have twice played Toronto and Hamilton on the same tour and one of those had 2 Toronto shows.my2hands said:about the Ft Lauderdale/Miami shows being so close together... if you haven't played South Florida in 15-20 years why not play 2 shows down there?

Really not common for down here.Dont see the logistic benefit.
It would be a more likely move to see a Tampa then Orlando. Both close but much more seperated than FTL and MIA.0 -
Hopefully they just felt we should get two shows but the sports teams killed both options for a back to back so MIA and FTL it is!

You can't envision a scenario where they don't play Wrigley, an outdoor venue in Chicago, in mid-late March?ehbacon said:If the cubbies win it all I can't envision a scenario where they don't play Wrigley or Chicago around Opening Day.
