This rumored list is beautiful! Wish I could grab some of those southern days but can't afford multiple flights like that. Oooo the possibilities! How will I choose??? Like Ed said, a good problem to have.
Oh please let it rain today.

just tried to book Lexington Hotel....got this response "The hotel is not available for your requested travel dates. It is either sold out or not yet open for reservations."
some hotels don't allow booking until <6 months from the reservation date, so that could be the issue you're running into there</p>
The Hyatt Regency Lexington has rooms available but requires a minimum two night stay, and at the moment requires full payment, which is non-refundable. I wouldn't book this before the tour is officially announced.
Luckily my old roomate lives in Cincy, so Lexington show is a no brainer for me if its true

you guys are going to be so disappointed when nothing happens, all they are doing is making a new album for late 2016 release and tour the South in 2017, duh.
Booked in Toronto. My goal Both NY Both PH Pitt Hartford or Albany Both Toronto.
So, I do not mean this in a snarky way, but I have to ask...
What do you do for a living/family life tat this is even a remote possibility? I have a good job, a wife, no kids yet, and a mortgage... I don't have that much free time, vacation, or disposable income that 8 shows is even a remote possibility....
Spending time on these boards makes me lose touch with reality sometimes..
Again, no wonder this band sells out tours... with people hitting 8 shows and spending days following them around I'm starting to wish PJ was a stock traded on the NYSE....
I have a good job, but not rich. No mortgage as I rent. But it's still rent. Married but no kids which is a big factor. Wife works as well, average income, she will be by my side for the whole adventure. I have Wednesday's off. So In reality this whole thing will cost me 3 vacation days. NY, PH and Hartford will be traveling home after each show , which is 5 shows. PITT and Toronto will require 3 vacation days. And I save enough money to make sure I could do this. If they toured like this every year it wouldn't be possible. A whole year off from NA allowed more time to save. In reality, it will cost around $2000. Which, relatively speaking is nothing compared to people who travel abroad or your average vacation.

I'm intruding in the conversation, but find this interesting. Since 2010, in any Euro tour/2011 PJ20 and Canada the fewest shows I have done in one tour is 5. I plan my holidays around the shows, I go to the shows then have time to explore the cities and its environs. Tours have taken me all over Europe and a bit of Canada and to cities I have fallen in love with. In Europe we seem to get more annual leave than in the USA, I get 32 days plus 10 days public holidays and because of where I work - up to 20 additional days flexi leave (if time owed). So, that is how I do it!
Fair enough, on both accounts. I spent far more than $2k on a trip to Europe this summer for holidays, so it's all about where my priorities lie these days...
I think my biggest issue is that I don't get enough vacation to accommodate doing stuff like this. 15 days annual leave is just not enough.
My wife will go to a show (or maybe two) with me, but that's about her tolerance level for it. Anymore and she's not interested... and I have to accommodate her vacation/travel wishes as well... (and for the record she also works and earns a good salary).
I just remember going to buffalo in 2013 and standing in line for a poster, listening to the lady in front of me talking about how they were in pittsburgh last night, buffalo now, and were only going to miss 1 date of the entire east coast tour, and that she doesn't work and her husband gets "months" upon months of vacation... and the amount of credit card debt this was going to rack up...
Two or 3 shows on a tour if more than enough to feed my appetite these days for me I guess... I don't have the hunger anymore...

Do you take vacation? For some people going on the road to see PJ is a vacation, I know it is for me
Fair enough. It is for me too, but I don't let it control my vacation anymore. A weekend sure, but other than that, no. Sure wish the band would travel to see me than me traveling to see them... a 2 night stand in Houston would be pretty awesome, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
I get 22 days a year of paid time off. About 5 months out of the year is the peak time and I can't take any time off, but the other 7 months I can pretty much control my schedule. I can also work from the road so can squeeze in a day's work over the period of a weeklong vacation.

The Hilton Lexington/Downtown has rooms available for a two-night stay. The AAA rate is $227 per night, a bit high, but it is cancelable.
Shep - would be sweeeet if they'd do a Pitt/Buff run again!
I hear what you mean about the credit cards. I just work overtime when it's offered and I try to pay for my hotels before I stay that way once the tour starts I only have to budget food, gas, and usually just grab a shirt or 2.
If I could get 4 shows this tour if there's a tour I'd be ecstatic!

I go to any show I can drive to and from same day (usually 4 hours is my max) (and I dont drink at shows so I dont have to worry about driving) or ill fly to a city if It's a city where I have a good friend living so I can stay for free. If the rumors are true, I would likely go to Atlanta, nashville, Pitts, Buffalo, and Toronto

My plan includes 6 shows, just 2 or 3 nights of hotels (and a few nights crashing with friends), one round trip flight and 4 vacation days (I have 2 left from this year that I don't plan on using and rolling over). Not bad when all is said and done. Plus my flight will be my 30th bday celebration weekend too.
Of course, this is assuming these are the real dates. No tour or tour schedule changed I'll have to re-think things.
The more I look at the rumored dates, the more I feel there has to be a show in Charleston or Columbus in between Lexington and Pittsburgh depending on which route they take...
I like your way of thinking...especially if it were Charleston!
I get 41 days off per year at my job right now and they are pretty flexible with allowing me to change my time off at the last minute. That makes it easier to put in for time off based on Internet rumors and change it later if it doesn't pan out.
I have 4 kids though so it definitely makes traveling to shows tougher. We try to make any travel include lots of stuff for the kids to do. That way everybody is happy and gets something out of the trip. Plus I end up with enough time off to take the kids to Disney or other places that's all about them.

A. Be financially secure B. No wife/husband and or kids C. Own their own homes (no mortgage or rent) D. Live within their means E. Live a debt free lifestyle F. Save for travel
Therefore travelling to multiple shows on multiple cities is not a financial strain.

i feel like a lot of other people are in similar boats as there is a massive fanbase an hour any direction of nyc..

Is anyone else surprised that they would be doing a tour like this without new music to support? I figured the LB tour (as far as the US was concerned) was over with last year's Midwest run. So I was expecting them to be working on a new album in 2016 and not getting a US tour again til 2017.

Yep, I'm surprised too. Not hating, just saying people around here like to jump into stuff

They did tour in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and arguably 2011 & 2012 without an album to support them.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

I always thought of 2004 and 2005 as the lost dogs tour... which is probably why they were great tours

I would take a tour over an album any time. I feel like we've heard everything sonically we can hear from the band at this point. Don't get me wrong, I would be excited for a new record but the songs don't stay with me as long as they did with earlier albums.

Lol, Merica! Yeah vacation days are few and far between here. I used to get 14 but I haven't gotten any for about 8 or 9 years now

something fun to do around these rumor times is to check ticketmaster, and any of the other sites that may sell tickets, i forget who does it for hartford and philly, and just search pj, sometimes someone in the department puts the info on too early, and then you know its all coming soon. theyll take it off, but a day or two before the official sometimes a ticket site screws up and posts the info early.

Yep. Corporate gig was pretty good but now I own a bunch of restaurants. As the chef you pretty much work all the time. I get away here and there of course but I don't expect or assume I'm entitled to any days off. Kinda goes with the territory
