OK, the last tweet sucked me in. WTH is happening. I was already stoked for SA fans and possibly the Canadians too. This invalid link has me wondering if it's more now for sure. Dammit...

Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.
Yes it was and it was my wifes first show that got her hooked.

Amazing show as always at the old Deer Creek, but I'm expecting 0 US shows announced tomorrow. This is just too fun, I'm in love with their hype machine.
I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love.
I feel like the band is hyping this a little too much for only ten shows in South America 7 months from now
I don't really feel the band is doing anything to hype this up at all. they sent out a memo to current members that an announcement is coming in 4 days. that's not much hype at all.
"every society honours its live conformists and its dead troublemakers"
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
The band is hyping it? Nevermind the three threads chock full of speculation & theories from hundreds of members... and that's just on this forum. I'm not on facebook but I can only imagine the raucous going on over there.

Careful now.........
Nothing against SA. They are some of the best fans around and I'd love to be able to get there but not in my cards.
Just meant I think it may be more than just there
I agree with you 100%, but there are some on here who seem to think comments such as yours are indicative of entitlement, or under valuing the SA fanbase. Which I think is ridiculous, but we are all 'entitled' to our own opinions. (Whoops, there I go again!)

Agreed. Hopefully we're right!

They hype everything now. Remember the countdown to the LB release?? And to Wrigley??? They actually had a countdown clock on the PJ homepage! My own theory is that they are hyping things a lot lately because their media-shy tactics of the 2000s brought them a little further under the radar than they wanted to be, and now they trying to fix it. Hence Wrigley and that hoopla, the World Series contract, Eddie doing an interview on Jimmy Fallon, etc. But it works, and makes sense. Creating a buzz can never be bad for a band! Plus, I don't think an SA tour is no big deal. If we knew they were about to announce a 10 show run in NA everyone would be over the moon (while still complaining that it's not enough, of course).

& for the record, I think the South American fans put us North American fans to shame. I've watched the streams of the 2013 SA festival dates, and those crowds are f'ing nuts! I don't think I could hang at one of those shows.

i agree, the shows here in SA are pretty much pré-confirmed by the host places, i really think it's going to be more than just a SA tour, maybe Asia? heard they didnt go there for a loooong time!

Yeah I have to admit their tweets and instagrams are starting to make me get over-hyped. I dont think we got anything close to this for the 2014 US tour did we? In 2013 i remember the countdown and what not...

It's the fans who are hyping this up. The band simply stated an announcement was coming on Friday. That's not a big deal.
I don't think you can say that all they did was simply state that there was an announcement coming. There have been Facebook posts/tweets, etc, every day since the newsletter came out about it. There was just one sent out around 1pm today about.

I think that's pretty common and an announcement of just an SA tour would be enough to warrant that amount of hype. I'm hoping for more, but I won't be upset if it's an announcement of shows that I cannot attend.
