Ive been struggling with posting this as there has been some awesome vibes here as of late so im sorry for my vent.

My dogs left leg gave out last Monday-torn ligament/cruciate in the knee. Poor pups just coming around from his right knee operation in February, only to have his other knee give out. Just when you think your out of the forest something else appears....

Happened on his morning walk last Monday, nice sunny day, we hit the curve to round the bend, and then bam.... im like fuck, his right leg messed up again? (We have slowly been re-building the muscle in his right leg- limited walks and always on leash since getting Vet clearance) I took him home immediately, only to see his left was gone and later confirmed with Vet.

Since the last operation was a clusterfuck of emotions and personal/ economic strain, the wife and i vowed never again. So as you can imagine, we struggled with the decision all day Monday/Tuesday only to make a final decision on Wednesday(last week). Needless to say it was an emotional roller coaster ride that drained us of all feeling....but im relieved to say we will take the ride once again for our big loyal meatball- Eddie.
    His operation is tomorrow afternoon....
    Thanks,
    C

I know exactly what your going through, exact same thing in our home with our dog Downey. Financial strain for sure, do you have insurance? Sure wish we had. Best of luck for a speedy recovery for Eddie!!

    Hey Nami-

Don't worry about the vibe! I think most of us dog owners know how much joy and how much heartache these guys can bring. I've been through all the emotions and I'm happy that things are great right now....but as your experience shows, things can change in a hurry. Good luck to you and Eddie...keep us posted!

    and, norm???.....too funny.

Hey gang, thanks for the kind words and well wishes. Well got a call at4 and ed made it through the surgery....woohoo! What a relief. The vet mentioned the cruciate ligament was in pieces so it was removed and repaired. No arthritis either... Two more days and he will be home... Now for the recovery process......but I wouldn't change a thing... :D as my bud will be by my side.

Thanks again. It meant a lot to all of us here.
    Cheers

Piper has discovered a new hang out spot....under the bed....there's a dust ruffle (wish I could say I didn't know what that thing is called) to the floor, so it's a very private spot :D
