and no chance he ever plays in the NFL again. those comparing to Vick are wrong. Vick served jail time and paid his debt to society. she will divorce him in a few months when it settles down, take 1/2 of what he has got now and he will be dead broke within 3 years.

He will be broke early anyway, he is a moron athlete. The guys that are smart are set for life...the morons are broke right away. That 30 for 30 on the topic was awesome. A lot of stupid, foolish people out there.

Holy shit fuck John Harbaugh. A reporter just asked him why did the Ravens opinion change so drastically today with the release of the video. "What is it you think happened in that elevator?" asked the reporter. Harbaugh totally blew him off. Here's the real answer:

"Well we knew he knocked her out. But we didn't care if people were upset about that because we need a tailback. But now that everybody has gone from "upset" to "totally pissed" after seeing the video, we decided to cut him."

Harbaugh is such a jerkoff. And the Ravens are a complete jerkoff organization. I still can't get over how badly this situation was handled by everyone involved.
Agree on all accounts. The video changed nothing- we all knew she was knocked out cold and dragged out. What did Goodell and the Ravens think? That they were cuddling and Ray's fist clocked her head on accident? The video shows what we all knew a long time ago.

I love how the Ravens send out the coach to talk. He is a fucking nobody in all of this. Where are all the decision makers from the NJ courts, Ravens and the NFL? They're are all cowards. Pro sports keeps estranging itself from me more and more everyday and I fucking love sports.

I'm getting a little tired of hearing these commentators say that the fans are enablers of the system that allows Ray rice to only be suspended for 2 games initially. We love football. That doesn't mean we agree with Roger Goodell. That doesn't mean we should boycott when we feel injustices occur. That doesn't mean i should stop watching football because Ray rice is a wife beater. Fuck that.

We also love the competition. If they have to throw out 10 people to get others to come correct and respect the chance they have to make millions of dollars a year using their talents then so be it. The games will still be competitive. I loved football no less in 1988 when the Bubba Parris was the laughing stock of football with his fat 300+ pound frame. Now more lineman are 300 I bet than not. I may have even loved it more then.
As fans we will scramble to keep up with whatever they put out there. If there are less spectacularly talented guys the talent level is still out of this world and entertaining. (And we know they already cut the normally talented guys that are a pain in the ass.)

We all feed into the beast that the NFL is but I personally think they have a product that they cannot fuck up w/o over-saturating the market, getting too greedy, or having huge black eyes from issues like this.

I can't see a team taking Rice on. His talent is also on the decline already.

sadly, his declining talent is probably why he's done. If he was marshawn lynch, teams would be calculating how soon would be too soon.....and they'd be crafting their "second chance" speech.

Ryan Leaf got another five years jail time although he won't have to serve any additional to what he is currently in for. Could the be any chasm wider between how careers played out for potential #1 picks than Leaf and Manning?

Crazy. It's one thing for Leaf to turn out to be a bust, but now he's in jail while Manning just played in a Super Bowl last year at the age of 38. Colts sure made the right decision on that one.

Thank goodness because the Colts would be playing in L.A. right now if they chose Leaf and I would be surrounded by Chicago Bears fans! :|

I was in the Leaf camp when they were talking about which guy should be #1....I had watched him play in the Pac 10 as a USC guy and one of my best friends knew Peyton from New Orleans and described him in very unflattering ways through a variety of stories.

Clearly I was WRONG! and Peyton is not only an all time great NFL player and one of the best QBs ever but he seems like a pretty hilarious guy as well.

Ryan Leaf turned into a nightmare. Remember that game in the rain again the Chiefs? I think he was still a rookie and turned the ball over 5 times and had 1 pass completion or something crazy like that. Obviously off the football fields things went really wrong.

Is Congress sending a letter to Roger Goddell demanding to know how things went down the height of hypocrisy? Shouldn't Congress focus on how fucked up our laws are that the cops had this video and they let the motherfucker plead out to a diversion program?

It's effing stupid. 5 weeks off on vacation and this is the first thing they focus on? Just like PED's in MLB, they are grandstanding because it's an easy topic to defend and takes focus away from the real problems they should be focusing on.

That's why even though Roger Clemens is a scumbag, after the biggest collective group of liers in the world tried to convict Clemens of lying to them and he won, I was praying he was going to do a Half Baked Scarface "fuck you, fuck you, fuck you" exit.

So Goodell was either lying about seeing the tape or he has no control at all over his office. Either way, fuck him. He has to go.
