Sad outcome. I wish I could say I was surprised, but there was something about his humor that seemed like he was hiding or avoiding something dark within. He seemed troubled.

Most of the funny ones have some deep pain.

I just loved him. Heartbreaking, and fucking tears at work.

I dnt think anyone is gonna say anything negative about him. He was one of a kind. Could make a dying man laugh. True legend. Again, what a shame..... :(

He (and Carlin) were among the few who could make me cry with laughter.

RIP ... Apparently he's been battling depression.

Major depression is so cruel. Robin Williams seemed to have it all- a family who loved him, millions upon millions of fans who loved him, plenty of money no doubt, lived in beautiful Marin County- yet despite all that, he was too disturbed by something so terrible that he couldn't go on and now he's gone.

Tears and sorrow shared all around here, and in many corners. Yes, truly a heartbreaking shame.

Oh wow, the people who are the most fun for others are often hurting deeply. He seemed he could definitely be manic. Super highs, incredible lows. More proof money can't buy true happiness. RIP. Sad day.

That's actually my favorite work he's done. The Fisher King was great too.
