Oh man, no fucking way- they suspect suicide. Total shock. Terrible. What a great loss.

Yeah. I never met the man but friends in SF's Noe Valley where he used to reside used to see him around the neighborhood from time to time. Marin is just across the Golden Gate bridge.

63, same age as me. I can understand why he might have wanted to do himself in- almost happened to me once- but still, so much life left to live and now gone. It's hard not to go through all the "if only" and "what ifs". Really difficult to accept this.

Sad outcome. I wish I could say I was surprised, but there was something about his humor that seemed like he was hiding or avoiding something dark within. He seemed troubled.

Most of the funny ones have some deep pain.

I just loved him. Heartbreaking, and fucking tears at work.

He (and Carlin) were among the few who could make me cry with laughter.

Major depression is so cruel. Robin Williams seemed to have it all- a family who loved him, millions upon millions of fans who loved him, plenty of money no doubt, lived in beautiful Marin County- yet despite all that, he was too disturbed by something so terrible that he couldn't go on and now he's gone.

Tears and sorrow shared all around here, and in many corners. Yes, truly a heartbreaking shame.
