I think he could do well as long as he lands on a team willing to hold his hand a bit.Indifference71 said:The Juggler said:Jason P said:Johnny Football is going pro .... please, please, please, please, oh please dear god let the Jets pick him ....
he's going to be awful in the nfl.
Not so sure about that. Usually these running QBs like him can't throw the ball. He has thrown the ball pretty damn good the past 2 years in college. Not saying he is guaranteed to be good in the NFL, but it will be interesting to see how he turns out.
Should be interesting.

old school smash mouth football yesterday. love it.www.myspace.com0

of course you did. it was boring and sean payton should be fired for taking the ball out of the hands of Drew Brees and basically having Jimmy Graham on the sideline for over half of 2 playoff games. Eagles should have beaten that Saints team. even Pete Carroll let the Saints hang around with his conservative play calling. gotta go for a knockout. now of course I know you're response is going to be with that great defense conservative is the way to play but I disagree. when my defense is that great I go for the juggler (see what I did there?) .can't explain Indy letting NE run all over them but still better to have them running the ball then letting Tom Brady beat you. Grontkowski's punting after the punter got hurt was huge. he did unbelievable. and having Tom Brady hold on kicks in a game that was basically over was fucking dumb. The Juggler said:old school smash mouth football yesterday. love it.
at least neither of us is as stupid as Dan Dierdorf saying the Pats punter should have taken the sack at the 2 fucking yard line instead of throwing the ball for the safety. what a moronic comment by Dierdorf. yea give the team the ball at the 2 so they can score a TD instead of a safety. thank God he retired. never liked him at all.

yeah but this is not fantasy football. sometimes i think all most fans want nowadays is fancy pants shootouts in football and 11-10 slug fests in baseball. there was a time when most people respected a tough gritty football game and a 2-1 pitchers duel. people just have short attention spans or something.
payton had a great game plan last week that worked and it almost worked yesterday in the toughest place for a road team to win. football is about match ups and exploiting them until the other team can stop it. we all know the saints record on the road in the playoffs. we all know how much brees struggles in adverse weather conditions. so last week in frigid conditions and with thomas out, billy davis loaded up on stopping the pass at the expense of giving up chunks of yardage on the ground. the saints exploited that to no end and when the eagles failed to properly adjust, they exploited it some more and ended up winning their first every road playoff game. genius move by payton because nobody expected it.
yesterday they played in a driving rain storm against the nfl's best team in the hardest place to win in the nfl. they ran 26 times but aired it out 43 times. they actually threw it more times yesterday, in an 8 point loss, then in a 34-7 defeat in seattle a month earlier. and jimmy graham was targeted 9 times yesterday. gotta tip your hat to the best defense in the league on that one. did you really watch that game? seattle is so tough with that run game and that defense of theirs though.
and i don't know why you are confused about new england because they have been a solid running team for the last few years actually...with all the weapons they've lost to throw to, they didn't have much of a choice. win or lose next week, this has got to be one of belichek's best coaching performances. the way he adapts to his personnel is uncanny.

I'm looking forward to these games but the hype is going to get annoying by Sunday. The A-Rod suspension came at a great time to give analysts something else to talk about haha. The Juggler said:Couldn't ask for two better championship games next week...

Trent Richardson's playoff stats: 4 carries, 1 yard, 1 fumble
Richardson ended the year averaging 2.9 yards per rush — the third-lowest mark in the league for running backs with 100 or more carries. He never gained more than 65 yards in a game, and had just two runs of 15 yards or longer.

A good friend of mine who is very good at fantasy football suggested I take Trent with the third pick this year. I'm happy I did not listen haha.Jason P said:Trent Richardson's playoff stats: 4 carries, 1 yard, 1 fumble

That gap created by the Pats O line is insane. Trent would have racked up 100+ yards if he could have switched teams haha.JimmyV said:
