Officially closing the Blue Stage, you don't want to miss out on Pearl Jam's debut Big Day Out shows. This will be your only chance to see Pearl Jam in Australia and New Zealand this summer.

    Pearl Jam are exclusive to the Big Day Out, playing at each leg of the festival in support of new album Lightning Bolt; Blur, who haven’t toured Australia since 1997, will be playing on a newly created “Love” stage as Pearl Jam close the Blue Stage_; while Arcade Fire will make their return to Australia for the first time since their Big Day Out tour in 2008. Snoop Dogg will make his Big Day Out debut, playing a “greatest hits” set, plus tracks from his new reggae album as Snoop Lion, Reincarnated.

    Damn- looks like Blur are on at same time on the new Love stage- they were the only other band I was pumped to see as I have never seen them live. Can't believe no side shows, but am happy I will get to see them

    Not sure what I feel at the moment....

    On one hand Pearl Jam is coming!!!!!!

    On the other it's the BDO.....

    I have no doubt I will go....they don't tour here all that often so you want to make the most of it when they do...but really the Big Day Out...with no sideshows.....

    I can see why you're pissed, I am a little too, but this is the band that I love, so if BDO is how they are touring, so be it. As they have gotten older, they are changing the touring set up and we have to choose to accept it or move on. I choose to accept as I can't imagine my life without them.
    Being a member is never about the benefits ( or lack of) for me. I just want o be in my bands fan club
