And anyone who thinks there will be special 10 club shows in Australia next year is dreaming .. If they were going to do that wouldn't you think they'd do it in the US first??

Weren't the Shobox and the Shephard's Bush Empire shows, 10C gigs? Not expecting it to happen down here, but I though this had occurred in the US and UK in the past.
    * if, by miracle, this does happen in Melbourne my vote goes to The Forum Theatre.

Seriously I watched Soundgarden at BDO Adelaide last year and atmosphere was poor....

Really hoping PJwould pull a "Pink" and play back to back to back to back to back shows at Adelaide Ent Centre

Not looking hopeful, but Ill support the band nonetheless
you really believe with pj on stage will be a" poor atmosphere "??

You going to head down D?

You've been to Europe, U.S, now Australia...

Yes it's time Dimi visited Australia. I bet he has hundreds of Greek relatives in Melbourne. ;)

    Dimi COME ON DOWN!! :)

They did shows for 10 club members only? Really? I must have missed the news then.

My bad. A little research tells me they weren't actually 10C exclusive, just legitimately intimate venue shows. Sorry.

    Today is a palindrome

    31/7/13

Like my birthday was this year.

31/3/13 and PJ play a festival on this day in South America or SA for short, which is like South Australia for short.

Coincidence or proof that PJ will play BDO.

I keep getting sms' from friends saying "Guess who's headlining BDO"...
Post Splendour in the Grass, i never thought i would say that the heat of BDO is much easier to cope with than traipsing through mud at Splendour... i'm still tired and only went to one day :fp:

Fingers crossed sideshows will lighten everyone's mood as rumor is about to become reality :corn:

So apart from the mud was Splendour fun? I live in northern NSW and was thinking of going but tickets sold out really quickly. I've been going to Bluesfest for the past 5 years and it nearly always rains for that too. :o

It was fun. We had Saturday tixs and luckily the sun shone throughout the day without any showers. I couldn't wrap my head around the amount of mud and how soft underfoot it was. One particular stage we stopped going to as it was the 'wettest' and felt like a lake of mud - i can't count the number of people that fell :o Gumboots are saviors  It was my first time going to Splendour, very picturesque, just a very very very long day (esp traveling from Adel)! Highlights: The National (the reason i went - LOVE these guys), Chet Faker, Cold War Kids & Drapht (not my thing but wow they got the crowd jumping!). I would love to go to Bluesfest one day

I saw some footage of it on the local news and it basically looked like Bluesfest for a younger crowd. It rains A LOT in northern NSW especially over summer but it's worth it because everything looks beautiful and green all year round. You're great for coming all the way from Adelaide ..

    5 hours 10 minutes. :)

I think you're right that its a younger crowd than Bluesfest... though i didn't feel old until the next day aches & pains set in
Long way to travel for one day but it was The National's only Australian show and apart from PJ they are my other fav band. And the fact that i got tixs so easily on the sale day when i went online purely to see if i could get online & ended up with 2 tixs :D

    Yeah worth seeing.

Those three would pull in a big crowd, which hopefully means opportunities for sellouts and then sideshows.
