Like North Korea torpedoing a South Korean warship?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10129703

Or bombing a South Korean island?

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/southkorea/8153000/North-Korea-bombs-South-Koreas-Yeonpyeong-Island.html

I agree that most of it is talk, buuuttttt ..... they do have nukes .... they are testing intercontinental ballistic missiles …. And they have a history of having a hair trigger. And they just scraped an armistice deal which to my knowledge pretty much means we at war with them right now ... at least in their minds.

    Just say'n.

I sick and tired of preemptive strikes.

Then again, I'm not even sure if I would believe it if the media/government told me North Korea just blew up (add city/state/whatever).
    ...
They would have a difficult time pulling that off... both Korea and some U.S. led conspiracy.
Korean delivery systems are primative by today's standards. We can keep and eye on their missles with our early detection systems and already know the trajectory paths they will need to take, on attacks against U.S. soil.
South Korea... that's a different story. But, that something that should be left for the south Koreans to decide, not us. We can assist them as needed, but it is their call to make... and their responsibility, should they make the call. We should not be the World's Cops... nobody assigned that to us.

That shit is in China's backyard... If China doesn't want a nuclear bomb going off on the other side of their fence... they can deal with that shit.

kim's actions are nothing more than douchebaggery masquerading as strength.

and like with all douchebags, things will not go well for him...

anyone think this is Suicide by United States?

as in, N.Korea sees the writing on the wall and would rather be taken down than shown to be such a massive failure...the delusion is shocking.

They will probalbly send in two GLG-20 ranked agents to get it done. Of course, there will need to be a couple of decoys to throw the North Koreans off the scent ...

We ( the whole world ) can no longer let the leaders of N. Korea get by with this way of thinking.
We have to take out the govt. and let the good people of N. Korea see how fucked up it's been for them bcause of their Govt. It will mean a uniting of North and South Korea, which will not be easy, but
it also means taking out the problem. The N. Korea Govt./Leaders are starving it's people.
I think its unfortunate, but i do believe it's time action is taken.

I won't "support" the war if there is one, but i won't be "against" it either.

tough situation, and as much as i hate war, sometimes it is the right answer.

You might want to reconsider the notion that you're "very anti-war". This is one of the more pro-war statements I've read in awhile.

Not at all. I am VERY anti-war. But crazy is crazy, and it would be VERY bad for the entire world if N. Korea
nuked anyone. They have been saber rattling for years, now they are flat out making threats to use nukes.
What that govt. is doing to it's own people is criminal.
I would love for a peaceful solution to present itself, believe me. I'm not so sure I see that happening.
Like i said, if it were to happen, i wouldn't be "pro Korean war" guy at all. I would hate it.
But it does seem to be getting to the point of action over words, or in this case, more sanctions.

I know plenty of Marines that have been stationed on the DMZ, and all have said they hate the idea of going to war, but really see no way around it and that it will happen at some point.

On my home from work I saw something I had never seen before...
    made me think of war.

It was a huge black vehicle that said swat on the front bumper but I couldn't read the sides
because blocking my view were 12 camouflaged highly armed men
standing around the outsides of this huge vehicle, as it drove down the street.
I thought soldiers, of course. Looking closer I saw they each wore vests that read Police.

How life would change if indeed a strike was made on our soil.
I hope those making the chess moves got it all together.
Somehow I can't help but feel young son may not.

No. They are so delusional that they believe themselves as a world player.
They are basically the uncoordinated, short fat little Asian kid that you never pick for your team in those playground pick-up basketball games... even though he sees himself as Michael Jordan.

He is a sheltered little boy with a shiny new toy. Heck, I still can't remember his name. Do you remember all the musicals his father did? Dressing like Elton John? He just wants to be famous. Maybe the U.S. should mail him some new video games and a Grammy. Maybe one of the Kardashians? Can he be worse than Uday Hussein?

I pretty much feel the same way Wolf. I'm generally very anti-war and I wish there were a peaceful way out but damn, this nonsense has to stop one way or another. That may very well necessitate an offensive action.

War is necessary to us, It's a big source of income.
It's nasty and horrible. Can you recall a society that always lived in Peace?

It's disgusting.. but war is good for many countries economy.

Not a generation can go by without knowing (yellow ledbetter) the suffering of war.

I have to agree with Uncle Ted Nugent . He might be crazy, but right. Self Government, make your own choices, and still you must fight and protect.

I doubt a war will happen in Korea ... too much at stake ... I imagine the Chinese do not want the US any closer than South Korea. I would say the people of NK hopes for a better life rest on the shoulders of China and Russia using their influence and trying to get the NK government to bring in reforms. On the other hand ... I will not be holding my breath for that to happen or for reunification to happen.

A war in Korea would be another no win long drawn out affair ... but unfortunately the leaders of NK do not suffer its the people that suffer.
