Ummm yeah. WTF is going on with this show?? Like last week, there were some very good moments (Brody and Jessica scene in the car/ Saul and Estes scene), but the whole warehouse thing where they caught Nazir was beyond ridiculous. They made it clear that those SWAT team dudes work in pairs, yet it's only Carrie and the 1 dude that find Nazir while the rest of the team just disappears. Then the radios magically stop working. And of course Nazir jumps out like the villain in a shitty horror movie. I don't know if these writers forgot that their audience is smarter than this or what, but these last 2 weeks have been rough. I don't know where they go from here, but I'm hoping they wrap up this season in a good way next week.0 -

That sound like quite a shitty episode... going to watch it tonight, no high expectations of course... not depending from the comments in this forum, I was already pretty disappointed by the last episodes :(She holds the hand that holds her down...

It's weird that you mentioned the pairs thing. As soon as the one Sat guy with Carrie waived the others ahead I thought the same thing. I figured he was going to attack her though.0 -
I was hoping they wouldn't kill Nazir because it seems like there's more to find out from him. I think Roya though has some capabilities to do some things maybe on a smaller scale. I'm basing that on her rebuttal to Carrie in the interrogation room.Reading 2004

This is obviously still a good show, but the last 2 weeks have been awful. I read a review today that was dead on. It talked about how the strength of this show is the character development, the relationships between those characters, and how the consequences of those relationships and behaviors are what make the show so compelling, which I totally agree with. The review went on to say that what is so frustrating about the show the last couple weeks is that it has mostly gone away from that style and become a show that revolves around multiple hyperbolic plot twists and "horror-movie logic", which I also totally agree with. It's becoming less and less about Carrie, Brodie, and Saul, as people and is becoming an unrealistic carbon copy of 24 where every week a new threat is resolved only to have a new one immediately pop up. I still have faith that this show will turn back around for the finale leading into season 3, but if they turn this into a "Carrie and Brodie on the run from the CIA" show next year I'm totally bailing out. These last 2 weeks have done nothing but mae me all the more anxious for the start of Breaking Bad (which unfortunately is still an eternity away).0

Were you reading Alan Sepinwall's review? That guy is great. If not, check him out on hitfix.com. He also writes some great reviews of Breaking Bad. Can't wait for the final
Completely agree with you. If this turns into Carrie and Brody on the run, no more Homeland for me. The Brody character has run its course and needs to go away. I'm really hoping they wrap up the season in a good way.0 -

How is Roya going to be capable of anything when she is in CIA custody??? I think Nazir's whole network is done. Next week is just going to wrap up the whole Carrie/Brody thing and the Saul/Estes thing too.0 -

I don't know, perhaps she can sneak some calls in while the CIA isn't looking or perhaps this angle with Quinn and that Dar Adal guy will come into play.Reading 2004
