    It's sad but I know I'm not the only one. No matter how hard ARod tries, he will never be considered "a Yankee".

    I didn't mean to bring this conversation up. Just some players will be edeared by the mass of Yankee fans and other won't. I mean how long did it take Roger Maris to be embraced? Shit. During '61 the guy was booed and spit on in favor of Mickey. Maybe in a few years fans will come around with ARod but for now I don't view him as a "gamer".     But doesn't that just go to show how pointless and fickle the "true" Yankee conversation is. I mean, no one enjoyed '61 or liked Maris because he wasn't Mick and now he has his number retired (which I don't agree with). And today many don't like Arod or appreciate his talent because he isn't Jeter yet is one of the best players of all time. While there are definitely players I like more than others (Jeter!!), if you wear the interlocking NY, you are a Yankee in my book and I will do nothing but root and cheer for you.

    Didn't say I won't root for the guy and the team it's just I'm not a fan of his individually. He strikes me as selfish and joe torre pretty much confirmed that. Hope he hits 400 the rest of the season and blasts another 50 homers it's just I really don't like him. I know I'm not the only one either.

    And game two of both the ALDS and ALCS with huge game tying home runs. 2009 doesn't happen without him.
