Has anyone read "This All Encompassing Trip"(Chasing Pearl Jam Around The World) by fan Jason Leung? I just discovered it on Amazon and bought it

I just finished up the chapters covering the Canadian tour follow, and one of the bands mentioned "Hey Rosetta" is playing Canada Day long weekend festivities in my city...very cool......

I read "Anthem" when I was a teenager. Now, looking back, I am able to appreciate what nonsense Rand's "philosophy" is. The actual writing of the book itself was more or less OK.

I started this last night and did not want to put it down.
I stopped only because my eyes were literally closing on me.

Wow, this 50 Shades of Gray is really making its rounds. What is it people like about it? is it graphic? Sexcapades right? ;)

Anne Rice's wrote a Sleeping Beauty Series quite a few years ago, basically erotica/porn and apparently its getting some recognition because of this 50 Shades hype. I read it years ago and it was pretty darned good.

I haven't read it, but know two friends who did and said the writing is horrible. Twilight quality.

    .
Just finished book one, I enjoyed Twilight more, it was written for kids, so it read like it was for kids. 50 Shades is for adults, and is not well written. That being said I ordered the next 2 in the series and will read them. Not great quality literature, but...sometimes I need to read fluff.

    LOL I couldn't agree more!!
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

I don't read Fiction. It's a waste of my time.

But I just finished The Kennedy Curse, and picked up Michael Lewis' Liars Poker and Ronald Kessler's bio on Joeseph P Kennedy, Sins of the Father. I'm on a big Kennedy family kick this summer so far.
I'm really interested in JFK, RFK, and the rest of the family. What are some JFK books you'd recommend? I put 2 on my Amazon wishlist: "An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917-1963" and "Brothers: The Hidden History of the Kennedy Years". Also, have you been to the JFK library and museum?
I have been to the library/museum. Very cool for JFK fans.

Unfinished Life is good. Never read Brothers, but I hear its good. I recommend The Kennedy Curse by Edward Klein and Doris Kearns Goodwin's excellent tome called "The Kennedys and Fitzgeralds" about the two most storied families (apart from the Bulgers  ) in Boston history. Just a fantastic account of late 19th and early 20th century politics in ethnic America. I began reading Ronald Kessler's Sins of the Father. Joe Kennedy (JFKs dad) was a real piece of work. That family is amazing, sad, tragic and fascinating all in one. I love the Ted Kennedy garbage too. He was a horrible individual. There's another one I recommend on the Kennedy wives (Rose, Ethel, Jackie) that my mom read and said its awesome.

Thanks for the recommendations! I have so many books to read this summer. Hopefully I finish them before school starts and can read a JFK book. I'd love to visit the museum this summer. Looks like a really cool place to visit.
