Miss Anne in Harlem looks fantastic. I'd never heard of it.

I finished this today - oh man, it's so crazy good. Here's a blog post. (Very short). http://mybookclubforone.blogspot.com/2016/04/when-book-moves-you.html

    You have copies to spare?
I like it so much I would buy it to send to people. (I got my copy used.) If you want one, let me know.

I want one, but you don't have to get it for me. I just thought maybe there was a chance you were the author and had extra copies laying around. A glowing recommendation like that cannot be glossed over though. I will read it!

I just finished this absolutely, completely, utterly amazing book. One of those rare books that leaves me awed, stunned, nearly overwhelmed.

Kent Nerburn, Chief Joseph & the Flight of the Nez Perce: The Untold Story of an American Tragedy

Read that too...amazing book...sad and honest. I'm currently reading Lord of the Rings(again!) by JRR Tolkien ...my all time favourite book and also The Sacred History: how angels, mystics and higher intelligence made our world by Jonathan Black...really interesting....

Read the first and started the 2nd. Very different but sadly, in some ways there are some similarities. What happens in our cities here in the US that is swept under the rug is a crying shame.

On strong recommendation from Enkidu, I am about 150 pages in.
I am really enjoying it, having a little trouble keeping track of whats going on, and there is a lot of Indian terminology of which I am not comprehending all of it.
Already a lot better than the last pile of pages I read, looking forward to reading the rest.

We read this for our book club - it's kind of a brutal read. I mean it's eugenics. But I didn't know that much about it so it was interesting. And I did a blog piece on the book if anyone wants more info.

    Love this book.

Terry Gilliam tried to get a film off the ground, but like many of his projects, it was doomed.
