I agree that it has been all over the place. Myself and most people posting in this thread have all contributed to that. Which is why I don't enjoy being singled out for being off topic.
It's all good though.Peace, Love.

no man I'm not trying to swim aginst the tide infact I'll bet if you look back in older posts about Ted you'll find that I have always been a Nuge fan and his hunting is something that I could never do but the fact that he does is his business..I'm still a Nuge fan and because of that people on here feel they have to post the most vile comments that they can,I'd bet you money that if Pandi and I did not take the stance we have on this topic it would have died pages ago, it's too bad this topic has caused so much hate on the train..something that non of us has any control over can spark so much discomfort and hate between people that have never met it's just crazy.

who decided not to go fight really means you can not stand in another's shoes.
Ted's comments on how he would have handled the war though
does belittle those who did go and fight, those we lost, those who came home tortured
and broken. I hope he can see his error there.
Your assumption proves the same point you can not stand in my shoes
and do not care to know me because I do not agree with you.
When have you been quiet on a subject...
why should GF and I?
But I give you props for not being hypocitical , you are a vegetarian who stands for no killing
that is admirable.0 -

no man I'm not, bro I gotta tell you have taken this thread a little futher than normal for you...always with the spot on facts and sometimes a comic sling with your post but this one is just a feeding frenzy for a few people on here and you seem to have joined the feast, I'm sure Jane Fonda regrets her choices during the war but why are we going from a guilty plee for killing a fucking bear to to dead whales and Jane Fonda ?
I saw a bumper sticker in the 80's that that read "NUKE THE GAY WHALES FOR CHRIST"..and that kinda reminds me of some of the folks on the train..internet protesters with overlaping values and opinions...(this is o.k but...) and just gets comical after awhile and all you can do is laugh and enjoy the ride.
Godfather.
Sir, i am simply trying to reconcile on how some people, such as Ted Nugent, will geat a pass on past behaviour that gets dismissed as 'youthful indescretion'... yet, others, such as Jane Fonda, will carry her actions for her entire life.
Personally, i think we should all be held responsible for our bad decisions and poor judgement calls. That is because I am a firm believer in taking on personal responsibility and owning up to what we have done... and what we continue to do.
Apparently, others use political partisanship as their guidelines.
That is all.
For the record, there are a lot of things i dislike about both Nugent and Fonda... one of them being, they both pretend that their poor decision making never happened.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

who are we to hold them responsible for some stupid crap from their youth.
And above and beyond that how could we possibly know how they feel
about past digressions? the guilt or embarrassment they carry for past mistakes?
Do people ever see themselves clearly? I see here in the thread people saying
they are all about love and acceptance of others, then they rag on Ted :?
Or say there should be no trophy hunting but scarf down a
defenseless cow in the form of a burger. Hypocritical words and actions.
We do work for Miss Jane's charity, know her very lovely daughter,
they are women I admire.
To withhold love because someone did something benign 40 years ago,
to me that is the height of being judgmental and appears to show an unforgiving nature.Post edited by pandora on0 -

You still don't get (or do not wish to get as it would not fit in the Nugent you like to see) the difference between what has been discussed as trophy hunting throughout this thread (unscrupulous killing of a 'prize' animal to stuff/mount/hang on wall in order to satisfy some personal ego trip and brag) and game ethically killed for sustenance. Naturally, cattle is slightly different as it is not hunted but raised for such purposes. We then go into the ethics of farming and slaughtering and one's sourcing of meat.
Nothing hypocritical, so you need to get off your high horses and 'read' what people have to say. I know there are a couple of non meat eaters ('true' veggies?) that have joined this discussion and even them can see the difference.pandora wrote:Do people ever see themselves clearly? Do you?
Legal trophy hunting is not unscrupulous to everyone, that is your opinion.
You are not in the hearts or heads of those who hunt and eat their kill and display.
How do you know with each and everyone it is ego and for bragging rights?
You know this because this is what you think and judge for each one. It is your assumption.
You do know that many hunters have great respect for God's creatures.,
the earth and life.
Killing is killing ... a life is gone.
No animal is any better nor more prized or noble than the rest.
No high horse for me but when it comes to Ted and hunters you certainly are on one,
with all your assumptions and judgment, but do you see that?0 -
pandora, you have made it quite clear what your actual feelings are. you say one thing, but in the face of overwhelming evidence you can not pick a side. you are trying to play both sides and with poaching it does not work. it can not work. it is black and white. are you sure you were not on the original oj simpson jury? if i were an attorney and you were a juror in a capital murder case i would have to petition the court to have you replaced.
nugent himself could join tenclub, make a user name called "poacher", log onto AMT, read this entire thread, and post "HEY EVERYBODY, I AM A CONVICTED POACHER!!!" and you would dismiss it and say "no ted, you are just a hunter that hunts within his rights. these people are nitpicking. how dare they judge you as something other than that."
it would be funny if it were not so ridiculous."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
